Amazing stay, Sue and Ian went above and beyond to accommodate us on our stay! They provided such a warm welcome, an excellent home cooked meal, spacious comfortable room with lots of well thought through little extras to ensure we had everything for our stay. In the morning we had a plentiful breakfast and Ian provided equipment for us to wash our dirty bikes (plus secure storage for them over night. Wish we could have stayed for longer to explore the area!

St Mayeux is a tiny, rural village 8mls south of Corlay. The gite 'Le Boreff" is 1.5 ml on single track road through fields. There is a church, mairie, post office, and small friendly supermarket/bar. There is no restaurant.
Corlay is nearest for pubs and restaurants, butcher, baker and bigger small supermarket.
St Nicholas-du-Pelem is around 20 mins and has supermarket and petrol/deisel. Rostrenen has a hypermarche and fuel.
You need to make your own fun in St Mayeux but it is in the heart of Brittany and a great, quiet and safe base.
