This is a hidden gem - home from home. It is a very nurturing, tranquil environment and the hosts are very kind. It is everything a hotel is not in the best sense - breakfast was made with the hostess own jams and they were so genourous with information for our trip. Corlay is nearest for pubs and restaurants, butcher, baker and bigger small supermarket.
St Nicholas-du-Pelem is around 20 mins and has supermarket and petrol/deisel. Rostrenen has a hypermarche and fuel.
You need to make your own fun in St Mayeux but it is in the heart of Brittany and a great, quiet and safe base.
