We have visited Hotel Robinson many times over the last 25 or more years and always found the staff and proprietors so welcoming. The fact that the hotel has been in the same family for many many years provides such a great atmosphere The food is superb and it is great value for money. I am surprised it’s not 4 star rating

The write up was great but the reality was totally different. If we could have found the property (there was no number 4 in a line of similar looking blocks of buildings) and had we been given an accurate description of the built-up area from the owners, we might have saved being charged 140 euros by them for nothing and then having to book into a hotel nearby!

From our one overnight stop, it appears that the town has seen much better times. Seedy & run-down was our general impression. Perhaps there are some nice bits; we might have been unlucky to have stayed in the poor part of town (it was certainly a horrible hotel).

Just 6.500 inhabitants village receiving 150.000 tourists.
Just 6.500 inhabitants village receiving 150.000 tourists. No parking places for everyone. Good restaurants, good food at Tropocal, excellent ice creams, a very narrow stripe of beach packed of people. I have mixed feelings. If I would come back? No. I don’t think so… but we never say never isn’t it?

Lovely sandy beach and promenade that stretches for miles with pine forest either end with a host of shops and cafes.
Further inland a host of activities to choose from ,but out of season very likely these will be closed up.

The hotel is a 2 stars hotel - my expectations before arrival were a bit lower than what I experienced in reality. I liked the staff, above all the lady at the reception who accepted to wait for me for late check-in (after 9 pm). My room had a balcony, toilette and shower separated from each other in the room. Everything was very clean. Big flat screen TV, perfect functioning WiFi (free of charge). I did not use the pool, but there is one. The parking is spacious.
Apartment is lovely and clean, stunning view of the ocean and beach and gets the evening sun so lovely to soak up the rays and relax
Very modern apartment with all appliances you need for cooking or food prep
Prompt response from host re key collection and checkout and provided great recommendations on restaurants for our stay
Location is ideal as short walk from all
Breakfast was good, great coffee. The decision of staying in the hotel and having dinner in the restaurant there did not disappoint - the quality of food was great and the ambience relaxing.
Pool is a small one but enough for a quick swim or for the kids to splash around.

recommended places to eat. breakfast was first class and nothing was to much trouble
we enjoyed our stay at Cale 32 pity about the weather.
Great location. Close to beach. And loads of cycle paths.
Quiet. Spacious.
Easy cycle to the restaurant area.
Good parking.

Staff were sooo lovely. Hugo was very proactive ensuring we had accurate directions.
The location was great - easy walk to the beach, and a short bus trip to both Notre-Dame-De-Monts and Saint-Jean-De-Monts.
Facilities were very clean, and the pool was much loved by kids and adults alike!
Enough space in the house; walking distance to the beach and bakery and grocery (both open all days); toilet and bathroom inside but also outside; Beach gear available for use.
Mobile home was great, super clean, felt brand new. Well equipped. We had our bikes and loved cycling to the beaches. Indoor pool was a great temperature for our 2yo.
The hotel is very close to the beach, bars and restaurants. It is spotlessly clean and it provides a very good breakfast. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
