Benoit, Laurent and Cecilia were outstanding. One of the loveliest places we have ever stayed.

We loved our stay with Jean-Francois and Laurent. Their place is absolutely beautiful and they themselves were so welcoming and helpful, even drawing us a map to walk through the vineyards to Saint Emilion and the best route to walk around the town to see everything. The pool is lovely and the French breakfast they provide is delicious and the perfect start to the day in this gorgeous part of France
They also gave us some great restaurant recommendations before we arrived and advised us to make reservations to ensure we had somewhere to eat each night which was fantastic as if we hadn't we would have really struggled to get in anywhere!
The walk through the vineyards is beautiful and coming back in the dark is definitely an experience! But it is do-able, just make sure you wear sensible shoes and have a torch handy! Although coming from a big city, the opportunity to not be surrounded by light pollution was actually really lovely
We were really sad to leave and wish we had booked an extra night! Thankyou so much, we will definitely be back!

Beautiful village full of character, very tourist orientated and very expensive but with three Michelin star restaurants and numerous chateaux and vineyards it’s maybe expected. The majority of restaurants all have similar menus and pricing so difficult to find anything authentic or a boulangerie/patisserie serving coffee. Although there seems to be a new patisserie about to open at the entrance to the village so maybe next time 😀

The village is beautiful—the Monolithic church is a must see. The tourist information center is very helpful. A nice walk through the vineyards is a pleasant excursion. Skip the ice-cream since it is very expensive and unlike Italy, very small servings.

Three days here would ensure you have time to enjoy the little town, easily accessed by train from Bordeaux. Enjoy lovely restaurants and caves to explore, and take in a winery visit also. Mobility is key here, there are some very steep streets!!
I learned more with each wine tasting I did, though you should note that some of the shops will only offer a tasting if you are buying, so it’s best to make your intentions clear at the outset. Best experience was in The Wine Buff - highly knowledgeable husband and wife team with a great selection!!

Beautiful village. Lots to see and do and plenty of history.
Beautiful village. Lots to see and do and plenty of history. Good restaurants and bars. The monolithic church was very interesting and the small train ride that included a vineyard tour and tasting was excellent value.

Loved Saint Emilion.
Loved Saint Emilion. Even if you do not like wine it is a beautiful village. We loved it at night when all the tourists had gone back to Bordeaux. There were many restaurants to choose from at night. A 2 night stay is ample. Dinner does not commence until 7pm and they want to get rid of you by 9pm. That actually suited us.

We went for a wine tour so St-Emilion is the best base for the right bank. Food and wine options are better value for the connoisseur than in Bordeaux. Dozens of wineries surround the town and the terrain is flat on the vineyards - not in the town itself which seems to sit on a slope.
What an amazing stay we had. The hotel is one of the best we have ever experienced staying in France. The toom was spacious and spotless clean and represents incredible value for money given its location and amenities. To top it off our hostess Estelle was the kindest, friendliest and most welcoming host. Breakfast on the terrace was superb and the communal dining lead to many nights spent with other guests chatting over a bottle of wine. What an experience Estelle thank you so much.
Warm welcome where the receptionist came with us in the bedroom and explained everything, allocated car park (rear of the hotel), comfortable bed, room immaculate (very clean), chocolates in the bedroom, bottle of water with mint and lemon (very refreshing), very quiet bedroom and common areas. The hotel is situated in the heart of Saint-Émilion so you can walk all around the village. Well done to all the staff that work at the hotel and thank you for the amazing service.
beautiful old French house in great location - just outside the bustling St Émilion but with parking and easy to walk or drive in when you wanted. great walks right from the door. lovely spacious house with a swimming pool. excellent hosts with the best breakfast.
Beautiful small hotel, Blaise was super informative and helpful. Saint-Émilion is tiny but this was a great location opposite a fantastic restaurant but out of the way of the bus tours. We had a fantastic stay here!
