A good ibis hotel- has its own bar and restaurant - although we didn't use either- you need a car if your staying more than one nigh as we did.

Saint-Emilion was the best stop on our trip thus far.
Saint-Emilion was the best stop on our trip thus far. We are staying in our 8th hotel right now & not one compares to the hospitality shown to us in st. Emilion. It is the most beautiful village. I will be back next year.

It is a beautiful town, with an interesting history. The food was excellent everywhere we ate. Take comfortable shoes as the cobblestones can be quite uneven at places. Take as many wine tastings as possible - the wine is soooo good. Don't miss out on the unique local macarons either. Do the historic tours and walks, it is all just so good for the soul.

The medieval town was compact, but not suitable for disabled visitors, as the streets were steep and there were many stairs. Roads were cobbled, so wheelchairs were difficult to navigate around. However, as our group were all able bodied it was not a problem for us.
As you would expect from a premier town, prices were fitting for the experience.
I would go again and stay in the town again, as day visitors did not have the luxury of the facilities behind the streets!
We ate in 3 restaurants, the best by far was Restaurant Le Tertre. Booking essential, I booked 3 months in advance to make sure we got a table!
We did the miniature train trip around the wineries in the location, excellent stop with wine tasting and celler visit.
It's a must visit town.

It's a magical city but be prepared to do some walking wearing flat shoes with non-slip soles due to the hilly and narrow roads being preserved as they were a gazillion years ago. There are many shops to peak the interests of many. Parking would be the most challenging event so keep the vehicle of choice the smaller the better.
The historic Catholic Church has 9AM services on Sunday's who welcome parishioners. Most businesses speak a fair amount of English if French is not your primary language. Credit cards are preferred.
The surrounding vineyards are immaculate and the streets are very clean and inviting!

Excellent for medieval history, wine tasting and majestic...
Excellent for medieval history, wine tasting and majestic views of vineyards all combined within ~5 min walk radius. Great ambiance, old town streets, shops, wine caves, restaurants, pavement cafés etc.
NB the town is built on/ around a hillside with steep cobbled stone steps and streets - best not to come with a stroller/pushchair or wheelchair!
We enjoyed the kindness and hospitality of our hostess Maryse, our roomy and pretty accommodation and private bathroom, parking on the property (not on a street), the breakfast, and the proximity of this countryside B&B to Saint-Emilion (about a mile from the B&B to a free parking lot just on the perimeter of the town). Maryse was very accommodating of our needs, as she was able to check us in early, and she also let us leave our luggages at her place after check-out so we could complete one last activity in the town.
Au logis des Eemparts is a little piece of heaven in a heavenly Saint-Émilion. You might easily miss it when you walk or drive by, but the hotel is simply amazing, with a huge, very nice and well-kept garden, dining area, pool area and even a nice and comfortable parking!
I understand why several people mentioned the challenges with the narrow entrance to the parking :) but it is really not that hard :)
I would warmly reccomend Au Logis des Remparts to anyone visiting Saint-Émilion and would definitely return!
The hotel is just perfect, I would definitely recommend it. The facilities are super pretty, everything well designed and the room was bigger and better than expected. Service was great, and staff helped us booking a restaurant reservation, a taxi twice and even helped us to communicate with the local taxi so we wouldnt have any trouble with the language barrier. Breakfast was good, location is right in the centre and we even recieved a free wine tasting as a gift for our stay.
What a wonderful stay! Our hosts were so accommodating and answered so many if our questions even before we arrived with lots of recommendations for restaurants and activities. The hotel was amazing. Such a wonderful relaxing location and so convenient to walk thru the vineyards to a nearby wine tour. We couldn’t have asked for a better start to our holiday. The rooms were so well put together and they had thought of all you could need.
I loved the charm and location of this hotel which is located in the Centre of the village of Saint Emilion, but yet overlooks the vineyards from the back - one has the best of both worlds. Friendly and attentive staff who provided excellent restaurant recommendations, a private parking close by, and overall, an ambiance which marries old works charm with more modern, tasteful touches
Sam was the best host we've experienced in France. So helpful and the house is stocked so well with lots of nespresso capsules, soap, shampoo etc. Beds are super comfy and the house itself is fabulous. You literally could not be more central. We will 100% return and thank Sam very much for his hospitality.. including rhe welcome macroons & red wine!
The property is very attractive. This B&B is in the main building and is surrounded by grapevines. The room was a bit small but very clean and comfortable. The location is a short 5-10 minute drive from the historic center parking area for Saint-Emilion village. If you're looking for an owner-free AirBNB type of stay, this place is for you.
The receptionists at the nearby hotel tried their best when they realised our shock on seeing the property. They offered us access to a sitting area and use of the car park. They were shown the images of the property that we had seen and recognised the confusion that this had caused. They helped us turn off the annoying air conditioning.
Exceptional accommodation in a beautiful building and grounds and fantastic location a short distance from St Emilion to which there is a wonderful walk though the vineyards. The hosts cannot do enough to cater for every possible need . It is one of the best Chambre d’Hotes we have ever stayed at and cannot recommend highly enough.
Having had a bad experience at our hotel in the Dordogne, it was great to arrive at the hotel and be welcomed so wonderfully - from helping us arrive, find the car park and organise dinner, we couldn’t have asked for more. Fabulous friendly staff.
Rooms were stylish, simple, clean and comfortable in a great location.
We loved it!
Laurent and Benoit were excellent hosts at this small boutique hotel. They were gracious and helpful in securing reservations for wine tasting experiences, dinner reservations, taxis and trains.
Breakfast was lovely. Room and bed extremely comfortable. Balcony overlooked the town. Would highly recommend this beautiful hotel.
This is a pet friendly property, they have ground floor rooms, very convenient, also in-house restaurant with great room service (we arrived late and we could arrange that and it was GREAT!). Hotel management were kind and helpful.
I was expecting something way better. It is not a bad place but it looks more like B&B than to a hotel
Great Location
New bed, although quite hard
Renovated
MAGNIFIC VIEWS (definetly the highlight of my room)
Logis de la Cadène is in a great location in the heart of St. Emilion. The hotel was well appointed and the breakfasts were excellent. The rooms in their second building were large and beds were comfortable.
very clean and cute hotel in the center of town. the owners were helpful and friendly. be sure to arrange transport from the train if you take it or be prepared for a longer walk.
Very Kind host and clean and new room.
Location is perfect,too
Near by public parking place.
Second time stay and I will visit again when I came back to Saint-emilion.
