The location was good in view of our needs, just next to a peripheral road, yet very quiet. There were handy parking spaces just in front of the entrance. The room and shower room were clean. But we have absolutely no idea how this hotel acquired its third star.

Really lovely hotel in the middle of Poitier’s historic centre. Lovely restaurant albeit as a university town there were plenty of eatery options so great for an evening meal after a days driving! Friendly, helpful staff with a good green policy well executed!

Poitiers is a historic city.
Poitiers is a historic city. The centre has not been spoilt by modern development and is relatively traffic-free. There are plenty of old medieval churches and the cathedral is beautiful. Interesting, family owned shops, eateries and boutiques. This is a city with a lot of character.

Poitiers is an interesting place. There are many historic buildings. There is an array of squares offering a lot of bars and restaurants to choose from. Its close to Futuroscope, where we wanted to visit. Good transport links.

Like a mini Prague. Lots of history with a modern edge. Not short of great restaurants, coffee shops, local and nearby tourist sites. Even in the rain, which it did every day we were visiting, you still had plenty to do undercover. Favourite coffee shop, Le Moulin a cafe, favourite restaurant Balme, favourite local spot along the river & nearby town Amboise. Easy to get around town.

We love Poitiers, the choice of things to do and see are perfect for us as are the large selection of restaurants and shops. We like to have an aperitif in the cafe bars in the large square in front of the Hotel de Ville.

We only visited Poitiers for a one night stopover on our way...
We only visited Poitiers for a one night stopover on our way to another destination. We strolled around town visiting some shops and had a nice dinner across the street from the hotel. We can't evaluate the city and surroundings much further due to the fact that we didn't see much beyond our hotel stay and meal out in the evening. It was a lovely spot however.
The hotel has car parking and a 22kW Type 2 EV charge point on site - both required to be booked in advance. The hotel is a few minutes from the pedestrianised centre of Poitiers - a perfect location, if a little complicated to find. It has a garden, breakfast room and bar/lounge. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was continental style and plentiful. There are excellent restaurants and bars nearby.
Excellent motel style hotel. Lots of space. Good staff. Strangely excellent restaurant ! An ideal stop over place if you are driving north or south through France.
