We loved our stay! From the moment we arrived the owner’s smile, the sun and the glass house behind her was enough to make us understand this was going to be a great stay.
I am pregnant and she was perfect in accommodating my food restrictions with the best planche made with love.
The sound of the birds, the comfortable room and cosy bed were perfect for a good and needed rest.
The breakfast was on point as well.

Really nice couple that own the property, had problem with the gas cooker but it was sorted with no trouble ( just a gas bottle change) comfortable chalet with basic amenities.

Breakfast was good with a nice choice of things to eat. The location was ideal for my visits to Saint Emilion and Bergarac.
I also opted to have meals in the evenings and they were all lovely and interesting.

Lovely example of an 1860s chateau, in a rural, working vineyard setting. Make sure you have transportation as taxis can be iffy and you will need transportation to dinner. The chateau does not provide a hot dinner, only starter type plates, which are very satisfying with lots of variety. But you really should enjoy a meal prepared at one of the local restaurants. Renting bikes is an option - mention in advance. Bike are the way to see the surrounding countryside and villages. The 2 river rides are awesome. A wonderful benefit, of course, of being in a remote location is all the interesting people from all over the world you get to meet at breakfast. Overall, wonderful, relaxing way to wile away a weekend. We will go back.
