Super gite d’etape. Easy check in, well equipped kitchen, nice bathroom, spacious bedroom, a great overnight stay. It would have been nice to stay longer and hire a bicycle.

The reason for the poor rating is that although you accepted the booking they were away and we were not admitted. We had to find an alternative in the dark, with a large van, and in a totally unknown area.

Beautiful situation adjacent to the fine chateau of Le Claveau; we enjoyed the walks around the nearby lakes and the astonishing birdsong morning and evening. The host Colette was most welcoming and generous, and we would would return in spring. It is an excellent centre to explore the northern Brenne region with ready access to the bird watching places and heritage sites.

Fantastic one night stay at this little gem of a place. On site restaurant was great and even had some live music to make it a fun evening. Staff and hostess very welcoming. Highly recommend, will stay again if I ever get the opportunity

This was a fascinating chateau, beautifully restored by Mark and Barbara. They are clearly very talented people. Accommodation was comfortable and breakfast was an absolute feast. There was a good place to eat very close by.. All highly recommended.

So peaceful and beautiful, after a long drive it was the perfect place to relax. As soon as we arrived we were made to feel welcome, the chickens, goats and the most gorgeous dog add to the lovely atmosphere here. Even though there were other guests the way they have laid out the farm everyone has their own privacy and it's very quiet at night. Good communication with the owners who are super accommodating and on hand to help make your stay enjoyable.

We loved the beautiful remote location, the friendliness of the owner and the quirky but very comfortable bedroom. The breakfasts and dinners were delicious, the farm is renowned for its beef, but she kindly provided fish for us when we said we preferred not to eat meat.
We loved Luca, the house dog, and the cats too. We hope to return soon.

Wonderful quiet location and rural surroundings. Great kitchen facilities. Loved the quirky vintage decor, and friendly dogs.
Located in a peaceful
area of France, on the edge of the small town, this two bedroom house has everything you need for a comfortable stay. On arrival Martine had left orange juice, eggs, and a wonderful homemade cake for us. Everything was very nice and the beds were comfortable .
We went for the bird life which was disappointing, probably due to bad weather. But if you want to hear nightingales, cuckoos and owls, this is the place.
