Ferney-Voltaire's value lies mainly in the fact that it is linked to expensive Geneva: busses go between the two and you can walk across the border. However, the little town also offers excellent bakeries, supermarkets, green spaces and parking. Importantly, there is also easy and regular transport to Geneva airport, though make sure you know how to get to the Swiss side or the French side for departing flights. For solo foot travellers it is a valuable alternative to access Geneva without a car.

Just another cheaper alternative for Geneve on the French side. It's rather suitable to those, who need the airport, for all the rest you better choose Annemasse, which is connected much better with Geneve and has more to provide on its own either.

Currently the area feels like a building site (June 2023). It’s is very dusty at times and the pavement on the walk to the hotel was full of rubble, which wasn’t easy to navigate through with a suitcase on wheels.
There is a lot of building work going on just outside the centre of town and it can be noisy for hotel guests

Ferney is of course the jumping off point for Geneva.
Ferney is of course the jumping off point for Geneva. The fact is though that it’s got a good selection of groceries, lots of great restaurants, stores, banks, transport etc. it’s also pretty and has a lovely Saturday market with tons of affordable high quality food. The history drew me to Ferney as well, since it’s been hundreds of years of it being where people go to get away from how dull Geneva can be haha.

Breakfast not provided by this type of accomodation as expected. The location was 15 minutes from Airport and main City by frequent and reliable public transport. The pickup of key from nearby reception at local hotel was well organised and happened exactly as stated by the owner. The Owner provided a bus timetable which allowed us to use the buses to meet tours in the City and also get to the airport at the end of our stay. Met the Owner by chance on the last day and he was a friendly and considerate young man. Would recommend this place.
The staff were lovely and friendly, very helpful and pleasant. The room and property was very well looked after and clean. The facilities are modern. Everything listed on the hotels description matched. Location is perfect and the village is beautiful to explore. Beds very confortable. A welcome improvement from the hotel we moved away from. Excellent hotel.

Very well-appointed unit, clean, well-lit with excellent internet. Very comfortable and clean place. The kitchen was well equipped, the bed comfortable and access and egress very clear. The host was helpful and an excellent communicator. I would definitely stay here again if I visit Ferney-Voltaire again.
The room has recently been renovated and that shows in a few ways, like a very comfortable bed. The location is pretty decent, close to geneva airport and on the outskirts of Ferney-Voltaire, without being stuck on an industrial lot like most hotels. overall it was quiet and comfortable.
Clean and well maintained hotel at arms length to Geneva. Spacious rooms with ensuite kitchen, great bathroom and laundry facilities, dining area and rich breakfast with many options. Hotel staff is highly professional, friendly and remarkably diverse. Hats off to the owner/manager!
The breakfast is better than my expectation. Besides that, it likes a normal cheap motel. It's 15 minutes from Geneva airport. I picked this hotel by mistake because it says shuttle bus is provided (but it's not free) and only to the airport. I have to take a taxi to this hotel.
Lady on the first day was very helpful and looked after our bags when we couldn't check in. The bed was comfy. Hotel was a short walk from a small shopping centre and 2 big supermarkets. Hot chocolate out of the coffee machine was the only big highlight.
Arrived late and left early. Everything was explained over email and we had no problems getting into our room after our flight. Bus 66 takes you from the airport to within 2 blocks of the hotel. Great place to stay when arriving or departing from Geneva.

The room size is nice and the location next to the shopping center is perfect. If there was AC and pool and a shuttle running throughout the day, it would be the perfect hotel.
Close to Geneva, Careffour is near, you can cook in the hotel and no need to order food. Everyday we have got new towels and cleaning soap for the dishwasher
