Very welcoming hosts, comfortable, quiet and clean en suite room. Initially I booked the room for 4 nights but extended my stay until I was able to finish my project in the area. I don’t speak French and the hosts helped me in finding my way around. It was a difficult time for me personally as I was away from my child and Villa Marguerite offered a home away from home.

We stayed here for our wedding anniversary and they gave us a free upgrade to the most amazing room! Everything about this chateau was sensational - the most comfortable beds, it was so clean, extremely peaceful and private! The views and vineyard are also out of this world. We had dinner there both nights which was delicious along with their own wine.. would not hesitate to stay again! Thank you so much Julien, Bernard, Beatrice and the team :)

My wife and I are frequent travelers to France and we stay in various hotels and other accommodations. Chateau Le Baudou is fabulous discovery near Coutras, France. Our hosts Marie-Laure and Jean-Philippe are warm and friendly. They welcome you with open arms and see to it that you are comfortable in the Chateau that was built in the mid 1700's. It is charming, authentic and nestled in the countryside only a few minute's drive to Coutras. Our room was very clean and furnished with antique decor. The breakfast was special with the confitures and yogurt homemade. Jean-Philippe was a chief purser on Air France for many years and his attention to detail and service was impressive. We are looking forward to our return next year.
We stayed here for two nights as we were attending a nearby wedding. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, bringing us an ironing board and iron and helping us book a taxi. We didn’t dine there for breakfast. Given how close the hotel is to the station and train tracks, it was generally quiet.
The breakfast was just what we wanted and excellent. Francois started the service early at the weekends for us as well which was great. Thank you.
The hotel had its own free parking too. It is very close to the station making the hotel also accessible by train.
I really liked the place,is something unique with a lot of thought put into it.the breakfast was awesome (much better than we ate in hotels).the owner was really kind and even received us late.we travelled with our pet and he was welcomed too.I would stay there again.
The hotel had character and a friendly atmosphere. The breakfast was excellent and served in an attractive setting. The man on reception gave an excellent recommendation for a restaurant and made the booking for us.
