Colmar is a medieval city full of canals, picturesque corners, and characteristic alleys, it seems like something out of a fairytale book, it is characterized by half-timbered houses, hidden squares and artisan shops in which you can be won over by objects and gastronomic delicacies. In spring-summer the colors explode from the flowered balconies that decorate and create charm.

Very small comfortable city with good sights and good food.
Very small comfortable city with good sights and good food. French or Alsace specialities are much hyped but if some meat with sauerkraut and flammkuchen are their flagship dishes, then they have a long way to go.

Colmar is a stunning old town that is easily walkable.
Colmar is a stunning old town that is easily walkable. It’s equally stunning at night. There are endless restaurants and places to have a drink.
It does get a bit noisy at night and I think more care must be taken by locals at night bombing through the streets after dark.

The old town itself is delightful, and the rather short but serene river boat ride not to be missed. The Tram ride is worthwhile...a bit bumpy, and in German, but the ride presents you with a sketch of which parts of the town are right for you to explore.
On the other hand, parking for the hotels in Old Town is awful...one has to park very far away and drag suitcases to the your hotel, unless your hotel has a person who, for a good tip, can do that for you. The city fathers should at least allow taxis to do this for tourists.

I loved the fairytale feeling of Colmar.
I loved the fairytale feeling of Colmar. I also love the location. I was able to visit several other fairytale villages in France and then go into Germany and Switzerland as well. The wine is better than I expected also.

It's like a fairytale city which I always wanted to visit.
It's like a fairytale city which I always wanted to visit. It's so quiet and nice.
For dinner the restaurants are open from 7 pm to 9:30 pm or latest 10 pm.
Prices are a bit too high though. Around 25 euros only for the main dish for a person.
There are not coffee specialty places. Wherever I bought a cappuccino it was not the best, quite average I would say if you are a coffee lover.
The location was ideal, right in the heart of the city center with plenty of places to eat, see and enjoy. The apartment was spacious with plenty of needed supplies (including coffee-thank you!) as well as that sweet balcony. The bed was comfortable and the A/C not too loud (and very effective!) Parking was available (though we found street parking). Owner was very responsive and reached out to check that all was okay. It was such a fabulous place and made our last few days in France relaxing and enjoyable.
Beautiful accommodations in one of the most beautiful cities in France - I can't say enough. There's plenty of room - there were four of us and we didn't even use the two single beds upstairs (my son slept on the couch). It's located in the heart of Little Venice - an easy walk to everything you want to see. The room was spotless and the washer/dryer was very handy to have. Tons of great restaurants and bars - I could spend the whole time just people-watching.
This place is truly magnificent.
This is my second stay at this hotel, previously I stayed in double rooms, this time I came with my larger family and stayed in a 3-bedroom apartment. If this place is available in Colmar, I don't think I'll look elsewhere.
As an interior architect who has traveled and knows all over the world, and as a lover of history, art and aesthetics, I congratulate those who thought, designed and built this place.
Location is excellent for Colmar and surrounding area. It is about 200 m from the train station and many busses stop at or depart from the station, including the free electric bus to the city and tour busses.
It is also walkable to old town, around 1,3 km on flat surface.
Room and amenities as well as free breakfast are of 4 stars hotel standards
Staff in general are helpfull and friendly.
The staff were non-typically superb. Because we were staying Sat, Sun Monday, I asked that the hotel booked 3 different restaurants as for differing reasons these evenings can be a bit tricky in France. Excellent results. Initial reception was first class, they made a real effort to make you feel " at home". Breakfast was well presented in a very comfortable environment.
Good size, clean room overlooking airfield with plenty of parking. Staff friendly and helpful. Good breakfast, plenty of choice and nice to sit outside in the sun to enjoy it. Did use the swimming pool in the afternoon but the water was a little chilly. Good location, was able to walk across the road from the hotel and get a bus into Colmar Centre.
Hotel location was decent. Close enough to the train station. And you can walk to the city. Buses are infrequent and I didn't see any taxies in Colmar. It seemed like most of the people who visited came driving. If you did, then maybe this location makes sense.
The staff was really nice too.
The hotel was perfect for an overnight stay or day trip to Colmar. Staff were friendly and efficient . Breakfast was good and the hotel restaurant served lovely food in the evening. Comfortable bed. Only a 15/20 minute walk to the beautiful centre of Colmar. Free secure parking. Good value.
Modern but stylish hotel within walking distance of Colmar town centre. Great room with excellent toiletries, coffee machine etc. Free parking on site and fantastic buffet breakfast. All in all a great option in Colmar. Also very close to the station if travelling by train.
Nice little hotel for a visit to Colmar. The staff were really helpful and went out of their way to book us a table at local restaurant over a busy weekend. The room was good, but not fantastic (for the price). the centre of Colmar was a short walk from the hotel.
Amazing apartment, it had everything! Me and my husband had 2 week vacation in France where we stayed at a few places along the Alsace wine route - this was the best accommodation we had by far! I would highly recommend it!
The staff - very helpful and and professional. We had a serious issue to resolve vsv Avis France and the hotel staff assisted us a lot in making the contact and overcoming the "no English" of the Avis people.
Nice staff, enough free parking available, water pressure in the shower was very good. The hotel is about 25 minutes walking to the centre of Colmar. Very good value for money!
The hotel is located in the heart of Colmar. It has a great restaurant - breakfast is reach, based on local tastes and products, with a variaty of choice.
