This is a great place to stay, we loved everything about it. After a long and hot day of cycling the four of us couldn’t believe what a great find this place was. Beautifully finished, an excellent location amongst the vineyards and great communication from the owners. We loved it…did I say that already?

Adequate food supplied. We would have loved a mini fridge for some fresh milk and to store some of our stuff in (owner offered the use of her personal fridge) Location was beautiful. Lovely walks around the village and surrounding farms, that we’re very clearly marked along the way and a map supplied in the room. The area was quiet. Parking fine. Close to drive to some lovely villages for sightseeing.

Tranquil hidden gem. Valerie was ever so welcoming.. the breakfast was fantastic with everything home made. The garden is beautiful with lots of nice fruits. The pool is perfect too. In case you are travelling with family, ample things to keep them entertain, with table tennis, games and their ever so friendly donkey Bombi! The communal kitchen also helps if you want to have your own snacks etc.

The beautiful large stone home is set in an idyllic rural location. Marie, Franck and family made us feel relaxed like at home. Our large room was rustic chic with a large comfortable bed. The bathroom was well appointed. The large grounds had a wonderfully refreshing pool to relax in after a day of tripping. The breakfast of baguette, homemade jam, fresh French treats and coffee or tea was a welcome to start our day. We also took up Marie’s offer to cook a delicious 3 course meal with a glass of wine the first night and a two course meal with wine the second night. These were served outside under a tree. Very relaxing. Marie, Franck and family we loved the ambience of your home. Thanks for making our stay special and suggesting places to visit.

Our group of 12 friends, cycling the Canal de la Garonne from Bordeaux to Toulouse, stopped for one night at the wonderful Bastide Cardan. The accommodation was lovely, and Vincent, our very welcoming and thoughtful host prepared a fabulous, all inclusive dinner (catering for a gluten free requirement) - and what a feast it was - definitely the most memorable and authentic meal on our trip! We'd have loved to stay longer in such a relaxing location, surrounded by nature, however we had to keep pedalling onwards to our destination in Toulouse. I cannot recommend Bastide Cardan and Vincent highly enough. Hopefully we can return in the future - and stay for longer!
