I love the story of the owners who have lovingly restored this hotel and now welcome each guest in such a personable manner. The rooms have been beautifully and extravagantly restored. The continental breakfast is excellently presented and of high quality as well as modestly priced. In fact, the cost of staying at this hotel is very reasonable and about 40% less than comparable hotels in Las Rochelle. The hotel is in the absolute ideal position in Châtalaillon, less than 200m from the very centre of the beach and the best restaurants, and through a park to reach it, while being across the road (25m) from the train station, which links with La Rochelle in about 10 minutes.

We loved Our stay here 😊 We were very warmly welcomed 🌸 to this traditional french stone home in nature 🌺 it was great to jump into the pool after a long days drive and chill in the communal space And breakfast was Great with home made jams, yogurt and fruit from there garden, We loved this touch 😊

What an amazing holiday! Châtillion-Plage was just somewhere we initially saw on the map near La Rochelle, but now it has a special place in our hearts.
The apartment is about 50m from the beach and the lovely beach front cafes & restaurants,5 mins from the park/mini golf and 2 minutes away from a little co-op and 5 mins away from a larger food store. The street leading to the larger food store (Carrefour) is the jewell in the crown. A beautiful street lined with bakeries, food shops, big covered market and on some days an outdoor market.
The apartment was perfect for our break, lovely and clean with access to a decent sized pool. The lady who gave us the keys was very helpful and friendly too.
A brilliant place for a family or a couple to holiday.

Lovely beaches and restaurants, the train station is very close to the centre and very good for taking trips along the coast we went to La Rochelle which was only 20 mins so much easier than taking a car

a small town, accepting tourism but not letting it take over the charm of the Market (indoor 7 days) 2 days outdoor market. an evening of Salsa on the beach, an evening of main street entertainment where you just sat (if room) and enjoyed with local foods and drinks brought from different vendors.
France fantastic food and restaurant choice, thankfully few Brits have discovered it so no cafe English Breakfasts!
Beautiful clean beach but then mudflats when the tide waned! Great transport links, Train/Bus/Coach we coped for 12 days without a car no problem.

We were very disappointed that we were unable to walk our little dog on the beautiful beach, even after sundown and on a lead. Sort of spoilt our experience as we needed to give him a good run to work off a 6 hour car journey.
Nowhere else obvious to exercise him apart from walking up and down the prom and being inundated with joggers who dont seem to want to share the prom with any other people, let alone dogs

L’eau a La Bouche was our favourite restaurant, also ate at Le Bugatti, Les Pieds dans le Sable (on the beach) and L’atelier.

Long level sea front with plenty of restaurants. Sandy beach safe for children to play. Not far from La Rochelle if you need a more lively environment.
We've visited several times before and it seems to have a warm climate in sheltered bay (unless wind directly from the west) Dogs not allowed on beach during season.

Right on the beach front and fantastic views from the dining room...what a view for breakfast!
Really friendly greeting, despite not having received email for door code/rm number. We were in transit so no wifi. We phoned owner who was there in seconds, despite Monday being their rest day.
Room spotless and new, clean bathroom.
Although it states no parking, there is parking on very quiet and safe-feeling street next to hotel which is free, about 5 metres from hotel entrance. (In fact the whole resort has a genteel feeling and safe)
Extremely warm welcome when we arrived, the hotel is spotlessly clean, breakfast was plentiful even though we only had once during our stay only reason being I’m not usually a breakfast person.
The hotel was fabulous and in a fantastic location. The staff were all very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The spa are is also a must, extremely good! My wife and I had an amazing stay
