The appartment is very modern and has everything you would need for a family syaying for a week or so, let alone a couple just stopping for the one night. Marc (the host) sent us clear instructions for finding the place and met us on our arrival and explained how and where various thigs were Ideal location, half way between relatives and home, a plesent nights stay, would highly reccomend.

Close to the GR5 / E2 long distance path in an area where there are few accommodation options I was really glad of Le Clos des Pommes. Lovely spacious room with all I needed and an excellent breakfast.

This was my second stay here,1st in July then in September. It's just the perfect place for a quiet stay. The guest have a lovely dog that loves to play ball,be aware once you start the dog plays forever. 😅
The town is sleepy, but well presented. There is one good boulangerie, where the coffee is good. At La Domaine de Lardoisière the hostess is delightful and most accommodating concerning how, when and what you would eat. Early breakfast for the fast energetic or youthful - no problem; later for those who are in no hurry - no problem. English? French? Crêpes or no crêpes, eggs - how many minutes did you say? Visit Nancy - twice - but don't forget the smaller towns, the local musées (Marsal, Vic sur Seille usw.) , the bird hide on the lake at Dieux not to forget it salon du thé. But watch out for the day when everything is closed....be sure to book your evening meal at La Domaine
