We booked our room spontaneously since we were on a private “Tour de France” and decided from day to day where to go. Marie-Hélène and Laurent were fantastic hosts - they made us feeling welcome and at home. They provided us with tons of information about activities in the larger area.
Our apartment was huge- two bedrooms and a bathroom with build in cabinets, even too huge for two people.
The breakfast was typical French (which ist quite sweet), but our hosts made us everyday scrambled eggs and we got home made yoghurt, and a surprise like a piece of cake or pancakes.
The house is from the 17th century as far as I remember, it was an old mill and it is renovated with a lot of love and a good eye for details. A little library with books and games for kids was located in the middle floor. Since we don’t speak French we had no problems with communication in English.
We didn’t use the pool but it was clean and other guests enjoyed it. If we are going again to the Loire region, we will for sure return. I got a piece of France which was like in my romantic imagination. Good job and good luck to the hosts. Thank you, vielen Dank and merci!

A charming hotel set in the shadow of the ramparts of the Chateau. Great location and plentiful parking. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was not in the main building, so was very quiet. Also spacious. But perhaps a little basic for the price (eg plastic cups in the bathroom, no tea and coffee making facilities in the room and a retro Corby trouser press in the bedroom!). Very nice breakfast and decent bar.

Beautiful chateau and setting, the attention to detail is amazing, if you’re looking for something different this is pretty unique. Circa 17th century with all staff in period attire and all were wonderful and so welcoming, the food is fantastic too.

This is a good choice for people looking for a relax from city life and for a stay for visiting castles. Very beautiful peaceful green place, good for cycling, strongly recommend to visit Vouvray winery and wine museum.
