They have a market a few days a week and all day on Saturday. The town is very lively on Saturday as well. The restaurants were excellent but make sure you are seated an ordering by 9. The kitchens close. Bring good walking shoes the streets are beautiful and cobble stone. Rivens was a Michelin Star restaurant that you should not miss. For the better restaurants, I highly recommend reservations. The town was very easy to navigate and had really great shopping. Make sure you buy the milled soap!

Pristine lake - well worth a boat tour.
Pristine lake - well worth a boat tour. Take the longer trip, not the 30 minutes. We also cycled the lake which is good for active people, especially for a close up view of what you see from the boat. Less fit people might prefer an e-bike. Bon Pain Bon Vin is a great restaurant for food, although service might not meet expectations for those looking for prompt and efficient attention. It’s worth it for the food and atmosphere. Market days are great for getting fresh high quality local produce. Three days is probably a minimum for getting a good feel for the town.

We mainly explored the old town and chilled near the beautiful lake. We also went for a hike nearby.
The old town has really nice restaurants. Ideally it's better to reserve before going for the restaurants to have Fondue/Raclette.
It's easy to get around Annecy by hiring a bike or taking the public bus. However one should be careful about the timings if you want to visit nearby places from Annecy. The buses are not so frequent.

The place is the perfect combination of nature and culture.
The place is the perfect combination of nature and culture. Compact and yet full of little surprises, Annecy is a charming French city that should be in every traveller’s bucket list. Plenty of excellent dining options, the majestic Alps before you, the Lake and the river around which the place weaves its spell. Late March, early April werent as packed with tourists as summer, so the pace is less harried. Prices, too, both for food and accommodation are very affordable. Three restaurants we tried : Cozna, Saba and Le Bouillon, all Michellin recommended - provided excellent food and service.

Beautiful old city.
Beautiful old city.
Gorgeous views of a pristine, clear lake.
Old town area was lovely and the Sunday market seemed really authentic.
Have a trip on the boat to admire the substantial houses dotted along the shoreline, enjoy an ice cream and take lots of pics.
There is a good bus service if you want to go further afield. We visited Talloires Montmin on the other side of the lake by car but I noticed it is on a bus route too.

Maximum charm in a small footprint: the Old Town is pedestrian-only, small streets that wind around and across the river, farmers markets, cutesy shops, plenty of cheese-y dinners... the place is a picture-postcard for France.
First, the location , it was a mere 10 (or less) minute walk to the old town . The train station is near too if your planning to visit nearby Geneva Switzerland... Second is the apartment itself , modern innovation and has everything you need , the beds were comfortable, luxury to have both shower and tub . Everthing was all in the right place , functional and aesthetically organized. The internet was exceptional too . Our stay was pleasant , we enjoyed Annecy so much.. we will be coming back again .🙂
This apartment is the ideal place to stay in Annecy. The location is unbeatable - it's just a short walk from both the train station and the charming old town center. The interior design is stylish and modern, yet the apartment itself is spotlessly clean and well-equipped with everything I needed for my stay. But what really special was the hospitality of the host. She graciously allowed me to check in early, which I greatly appreciated. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Annecy.
The staff was very friendly and gave me directions and recommendations. Overall, everything was super clean and organized. It was my first hostel experience, but they made it easy for me. The breakfast is alright but the view you see and the people you meet while you eat it are lovely. The big hill it’s on is a pretty challenging hike, but it’s worth it for the views and helps you burn off all the cheese you eat in old town Annecy.
We were very impressed with this hotel. The location is perfect in the middle of the old town in Annecy. Our room was very tastefully decorated and it had all that we needed for our stay. We only stayed one night, but will definitely be back! We had the additional breakfast and it also had all that you needed, with lovely fresh baguette and local yogurts. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Great location, right next to the Chateau d'Annecy and a few minutes away from Palais d'Île and the old town. Super nice and friendly staff. Small, but clean and warm room (we stayed here in late November so this was really important for us). Comfortable bed. Clean bathroom. There are a few parking spaces in front of the house (free of charge) and we parked there, which was great.
Jeanine and Alain keep A beautiful clean property with all the facilities we needed . A very enjoyable welcome bottle of wine was a lovely touch . Very comfortable and easy walk to the old town and lake . Easy access to train station and buses .
The best accomodation we have had on our trip so far following the Tour de France .
Thank you !
Best location in Annecy old town, overlooking the most prominent landmarks and the canal. The view from the little balcony is unrivalled! Loved the classic French decor of antique furniture and art in the rooms. The staff consisting of the family who run the hotel were very friendly and helpful; Joel especially had the warmest smile.
Top location! The old town is at your feet with its lively surroundings, lots of restaurants, shops... but the room is very quiet. The breakfast has a pleasant view over the canal and offers a variety of food , the staff cannot do enough for its customers with smiles and lovely manners. I was very impressed by Ibis Annecy, merci.
I liked its location, convenient and close to the train station (03 minutes walking) and also close to old town(08-10 minutes walking). The hotels employees were very kind and attentive with us,allowing us to keep our luggages before and after our stay for some time.
Good location within located just outside of Old Annecy (about a 5 minute walk to Palais de l'Ile. Two grocery stores located within 2-3 minute walk of hotel. Lots of restaurants nearby. Jardin de l'Europe and Lake Annecy about a 6 minute walk.
The location is amazing, very close to the old town and it is waking distance from everywhere, old town and the lake. The bedrooms are spacious and the apartment is big compared to other apartments you would find in France.
Hôtel du Château was a lovely place to stay, right next to the Château and right in the heart of the beautiful old town of Annecy. The views from the hotel were amazing. The staff were very welcoming and helpful.
The hotel is on a good location close to the train station and near to the old town. The rooms have good views and adequate lighting. Its actually a very decent and comfortable stay and absolutely recommend it
This was a unique accommodation in an ancient building but with modern comforts. The decorations enhance its character without being overdone. It is in the heart of old town Annecy, a prime location.
few meters from the lake and next to the old city, the location can’t be any better
better than 5 star hotel when it come to cleaning.
water, towels, shampoo, any small gift for the kids
Perfect apartment for our family of 3. Location was ideal to restaurants, Old Town and Annecy lake. Check in was easy and property owner was highly responsive and clear.
