It is quite easy getting to El Rincón de las Descalzas Hotel as it is situated in the very center of Carmona, just 15 miles from Seville.

The location was beautiful and convenient. The rooms were beautiful and all very unique. The area was safe. I did a lot of walking around by myself as well as with a group. Laundry service was great. Staff was so sweet and helpful. I was a bridesmaid in a wedding and they let me leave stuff for the bride to pick up the day after the wedding after I checked out.

The apartment is very well designed and has every amenity and comfort required.
The apartment was spotless and very comfortable.
The owner was very helpful in endring we settled in.
A small, very walkable town. Great views from the town walls across the region. Huge amount of history (5000 years of continuous habitation) and a truly excellent town museum that makes sense of that history.
The Roman cemetery is astonishing both for its scale and its quality - and is free to visit.
We stayed in the town on a Friday evening and were disappointed by the lack of night-life bars/cafes/bistros, although this may just be because we were there on a cold April day.

Recommend walking tour that includes old town, the Puertas, parador (just for the views) and necropolis. Also a great town for just wandering - it's not too big so you can't get lost, but plenty to see.
Lots of free parking, try to the right of the Puerta de Sevilla. There's usually someone who'll direct you to a space (give him a euro!). A really friendly town - everyone will smile back at you.
Lots of good restaurants and bars. Best is Cervecería San Fernando - if you fancy a special meal with excellent service, go upstairs and sit in the window. Amazing food, about €60 for two - salad, artichokes with ham & Pedro Ximénez, revuelto with langostinos and ham, two desserts, wine and coffee (too much really but it was a special treat!). Excellent service. Doesn't look special from the street, but definitely worth it.
Restaurante de Paco near the Puerta de Sevilla has excellent breakfast of Mollete with tomato and oil, good coffee and fresh orange juice for €5.60.
El Tablao in the main square (San Fernando) is great for people watching and relaxing with delicious cheese and a glass of wine.
The ice cream place on the main square is also worth trying if you have a sweet tooth.
Recommend walking tour to include old centre, parador (just for the view), gates and necropolis/amphitheatre.
Amazing experience during Semana Santa with procession every evening and fantastic atmosphere. Whole town seems to come out into the streets.

A delightful old city with lovely buildings in the historic centre. It is set on a hill overlooking the plain and has been an important centre since the neolithic period. It was a Carthaginian centre in the millenium before the current era, then a Roman city, then settled by the Visigoths, before becoming the centre of an Arab kingdom and finally being the favourite city of Pedro the Cruel in the 14th century. Pedro also known as the Just built his palace one the site of the Arab Alcazar. It has a very well organised and laid out museum with very good clear labelling in Spanish and English. We found an excellent restaurant La Yedra a stone's throw from the Parador.

We wanted to check out a small town en route to Jerez and Carmona had a good reputation for food. Unfortunately it didn't live up to our expectations. It's small, and almost eerily quiet at night. The walk from the main plaza to the parador is quite dark, so something to keep in mind. We also went in October and a lot of places seemed to close up for the winter so our options were limited. We did find a very good bar for dinner, so that was a highlight. We visited the necropolis which was fascinating, but the amphitheatre was closed so we couldn't visit that. For one day/night, it was an interesting stop, but I wouldn't recommend staying any longer.

Carmona is a small historic town right near Sevilla and we picked it because it was close to the airport for the end of our trip. There are some very interesting historical sites to see such as the Roman Necropolis and theatre and some churches and the Old Jewish neighborhood where we stayed. It was a perfect end to our trip.
Our stay at Convento Madre de Dios de Carmona was something special !
A real convent run by nuns... Sister Ferdinanda , who checked us in was so cute with her pen and paper used for a check-in. Old style but most reliable one. Yes, they were very spartan style rooms but they were immaculately clean!
It was very quiet and we loved their courtyard with a lot of plants around.
Thank you, Sister Ferdinanda! X
Lovely typical Spanish hotel, great location to walk Carmona. Friendly and helpful staff. We ate in the restaurant in the evening, lovely Tapas and wine. Breakfast was included and was vey good value. We reserved car parking which was useful. Would definitely recommend a stay there, it's a very useful 20 minute drive from Seville airport and Carmona itself is well worth a visit.
As a journey through the centuries - nevertheless in full comfort. That is La case del pintor, whose owner and personnel exceeded my best expectation. And believe them: send one day in Carmona and the other say visit Sevilla - using the public transport which is comfortable and cheap. spent in this fantastic house two nights but will return. Sure!
Great apartment in perfect location for exploring Carmona. Very clean, comfortable and very light. Very well-equipped. Good air-con, nice bathroom with good water pressure and plenty of towels. The garage is a huge bonus.
Very easy to find thanks to the instructions from the owner.
Rooms, views, staff and service were all great. The drive to the parador was also very beautiful... the location is simply spectaculor. Beautiful sunrise and sunset...we went for an early morning walk in Carmona and it was so quaint and serene.
Great atmosphere as hotel decorated in a ‘spanish style’. Great view over the always active plaza. Good coffee facilities downstairs. Able to leave our bags until check in. Nice atmosphere. Did really like this place. Would stay again.
The decoration are upscale and modern comparable to 5 stars hotel.
Our car broke down and he wait us for few hours to check in at 11pm
And he is still showing very well coming and sincere attitude
Also he is very nice to our kids
Unique style, pleasant services with very uncommon way of communication. A place with soul and historyn, rather being received as a luxury old house than hotel. Great breakfast, and kitchen for guests with all appliances.
This was by far the best apartment we ever occupied in Spain. Lots of space, extremely well equipped and a terrace with an amazing view, especially in the evening.
Tomás is very responsive and helpful 👍🏼
What a beautiful place, the staff in the restaurant were so lovely. The pool area is top class. Sorry we were only staying one night. Carmona is a gorgeous town so a couple of days would have been better.
The location was in a quiet residential neighborhood just outside the old wall. The apartment itself was lovely and very comfortable. It had a beautiful rooftop patio with great views of the Carmona.
The location is great and Carmona is such a lovely village with lots to offer. Very rich in tradition and culture. It was lovely to see a village in it's natural daily routine on a weekend.
We loved the hotel, the layout of the rooms surrounding the courtyard was so we'll done. The seating in the central courtyard was so nice and relaxing. The staff were excellent.
Very quaint property and rooms with comfortable bed and tasteful decor.
Lovely restaurant on site and very friendly staff.
