It is a great place for a vacation for a couple or family with children. Attractive town and market. Great variety of restaurants with delicious food. So many attractions nearby for adventure seekers. Our 8 and 10 year olds had a fantastic time. Our visit to Banos was 7 days.

Banks is a suitable destination for all travellers.
Banks is a suitable destination for all travellers. There are more than enough activities for adrenalin junkies: buggy jumping, ziplining, rafting, swing at the top of the world ... For the rest of us the walk to the Devil's cauldron is eminently doable especially in the opposite side along the catwalks. Downtown is a lovely cathedral and a good selection of tourists tat. Don't mix the taffee pullers and be sure to take some home. One of the highlights of Banos are the many remarkable restaurants. Don't miss The Swiss Bistro. There is a great and very interesting small zoo of local fauna at the edge of town. For those interested there is a reptilarium opposite the zoo.

A lot of people do a day tour to Banos from Quito, but I think it is insane, since it takes about 2.5 / 3 hours to get there. Therefore, I think staying couple of nights helps, giving time to explore the little town and all the activities and waterfalls around. The "cascadas" tour is probably the best!

Very nice town with things to do and places to eat and beautiful views. Short bus ride to see waterfalls and hiking trails. Great for day trips to other parts of Ecuador that are interesting as well. It was very safe there.

Great night life vibe for all ages in Banos. A great choice of Cafes and restaurants. There was always someone that could speak English if required.
The hotel ordered a private taxi to take me to all the tourist spots which was extremely cheap for a days outing and very informative.
I was able to walk from my hotel to the township. If you are sporty there is everything there for you.

Baños was a super cool experience for my birthday. The Pailon del Diablo was the best. The restaurants at the bottom were spectacular! The places in town had local art for sale and great coffee shops etc for tourists. Cute place to spend a few days.
The hotel is located near the center of the town, the facilities were clean and in perfect condition, they cleaned the room and change the bedsheets everyday while I was there, my room included a king bed , a jacuzzi, and a mini bar. The staff was absolutely amazing, they went out of their way to make sure we were pleased with our time there and made several recommendations of the touristic places to visit near the area, which made everything a lot easier for us. I will definitely stay there next time I go to Banos.
Absolutely incredible. The property and the rooms are just so beautiful and unique. There is a waterfall on site and in view. The breakfast was large and delicious and the owners were so lovely and helpful during our stay. It is outside of town which we loved because it was quite and peaceful and away from the hustle and bustle of the city. it was so easy to get to downtown Baños. Taxis to/from only cost $3 each way and are easy to catch (or the owners would call them). Stay here, you won’t regret it!
A lovely hotel located just outside of the centre of Baños. What it may lack in shine it more than makes up with their service. So kind and friendly and couldn't do enough to help. The courtyard area is beautiful and extensive and though the rooms are a bit dated, this adds to the charm of the place. Tailored the breakfast to requests and very happy to store luggage following check out. Plus very patient with my terrible Spanish - a good opportunity to practice! And they have the cutest puppy Torr!
The hotel is kind of like a bed-and-breakfast not your typical hotel chain style lodging. The breakfast was exceptional and cooked to order unlike that I've had at hotels in the United States. The manager was so kind and friendly he really made us feel at home there. The location has a great view of a waterfall and is so close to all restaurants and activities in town. I will definitely stay there again next time I am in Banos.

It is about 7 minutes walk to center of town; I prefer this as it was quiet and relaxing. Also near one of thermal baths-- perfect to stroll back to the hotel after a hot soak😊
The staff bent over backwards to make our stay truly memorable. We felt more like guests in there home rather than a hotel. It’s located on the edge of town which allows for the best views of any of the hotels in Banos. Totally walkable to everything. The daily breakfasts on the balcony overlooking the view was a magical start of the day. The beds were incredibly comfortable with toasty bedding.
The guest house is beautiful. You have a lovely view over the river. It's a bit out of Baños (about 20-25min walk) but because of that, you have a super quiet place. Johan is amazing and very helpful with everything, arranging trips if you want. And don't get me started about the breakfast: amazing!

This hotel was a dream. It’s located in the middle of the mountains surrounded by voluptuous vegetation which immediately released our stress. The hosts were friendly and accommodating, working hard to make our stay outstanding. The price was fair and absolutely worth the value. An unforgettable stay, I plan to continue coming here anytime we return to Ecuador

The facility has many additional perks over other hostels (treehouse, giant hammock, pool & hottub), as well as access to hiking trails. The location was quiet but accessible to Banos within minutes. The food at the on-site restaurant was good as well.
The cabins are set in a beautiful garden and I saw hummingbirds from the terrace. I could explore the orchid houses at any time. The staff were really kind and friendly. The rate for single travellers is very good value. The walk down to Banos took about an hour but was down very scenic paths
It was a very nice stay in the Molino Blanco, the staff was always super friendly and organised activities for you, the breakfast was huge and very tasty. It is a bit up the hill in Baños, so you need to go up again when you go into town. It was very clean and we would definitely visit again.

The employees of the hostel were so kind and helped us with exploring Baños by giving us good tips and calling a taxi for us. We also did almost all of our laundry for a very good price 😄

A great little gem of Baños, next time i definitely will book there again, 5 minutes with taxi to city centre (cab fare $2-3) and mini market right next to the villa.
