The hotel was a perfect stop during our drive through the Ulm area. The staff was very friendly and we were very satisfied. The price included access to the sauna as well as breakfast, so this was a tremendous value. Their breakfast was extremely good and the hotel provided everything necessary for using the sauna.

This family-run hotel is situated right beside Ulm Cathedral, within a 5-minute walk from the historic Old Town district. The Ulmer Spatz has a traditional restaurant serving regional Swabian dishes.
Its a smaller, but very cool city.
It has some nice dining spots where anyone can find something. There are also vegan restaurant options.
The city itself is very pretty in its downtown area. The old buildings and the river make it very special for walks and discovering some hidden paths.
There is also twice a week a very big farmers marked. The Münster of course is a highlight as well.

The old town is worth more than one day's visit. Fachwerk houses, Danube river, city wall, old town hall, cathedral, parks, fortress with occasional view of Alps; they all need to be seen and photographed. Getting around with tram and a day ticker for 5.50€ is practical.

Lovely city centre which is mostly modern except for the wonderful Munster. Good shopping including interesting specialist shops all in a large pedestrianised area. The Christmas Market offered interesting and quality items. Also a good choice of restaurants.
Ulm could be a good base if you also want to visit Munich and Stuttgart both of which are reachable by train.

Ulm is a pretty city, very walkable in the centre with added attractive of walls and river dividing Baviera from Baden. Lots of museums and pretty medieval like buildings. Big choice of restaurants and cafes snd shops. Visited the bread museum, interesting facts about food security etc. 1 or 2 nights would suffice to see Ulm.
The Catedral square on market day was great. Of Course the cathedral itself is beautiful.

Excellent location right by the Rathaus and everything else in the city center, lots of places in waking distance, tons of places to eat (we passed on the hotel breakfast and went to a delicious Italian cafe nearby (Alba).
Nice quality linens and comfortable bed, great mirrors in bathroom Liked the sofa/futon for a place to sit, and view out the two large windows onto the square. Be prepared for noise from restaurant below if Windows are open (didn't bother us).

Staff was very friendly, proactive and helpful. Breakfast facility and selection was very good. Room was clean. The location worked great for us as we were in Ulm for a trade fair. Quick access to public transport (tram) to go straight to exhibition in less than 10 min. Also great access to downtown Ulm and only 5 walking minutes away from the famous Minster and many options for eating. If you come by car the hotel offers underground garage parking at an extra cost.
Booked cheapest f10 economy apartment only with a balcony and really liked it. We‘ve been to many hotels, holiday rental and serviced apartments during our trips in the past, but this one has like EVERYTHING you would ever need for a stay and is really hugh. It was very bright and welcoming. Clean to the spot and silent rooms. Location is awesome in city center old town, everything is jsut around the corner.
The room was lovely, nice clean design and plenty of space. The beds were a bit too soft for our liking but still comfortable for the night. The staff were friendly when assisting us with check in. The hotel is located pretty close to the hbf, and it is within walking distance to the main attractions around Ulm. The bathroom was quite modern, and the toiletries supplied were great.
Hotel is located in Neu Ulm across the river from Ulm. Clean comfortable large room and comfy bed. We requested a quiet room and we were given a wonderful room to the rear of the hotel that was very quiet. The shower was great. There is a locked spacious room beneath the hotel for bike parking. Easy walk into old town and to the local.mall in Neu Ulm.
We were looking for a hotel on our route and found this one within 6 miles of our location. It was dark but with sat nav it was very easy to find and on our planned route. It had a large csr park. The receptionist soon checked us in and gave us the room key fob. We were very pleased with everything in the room. The continental breakfast was excellent.
Comfy and bright room, good restaurant with vegetarian options, decent breakfast options in a pleasant environment. The location is excellent, in a funky area with cafés and restaurants, a few minutes walk from Ulm Hbf in one direction and Ulm minster in the other. Among the best value for the price of many hotels between Ulm and Ingolstadt.
This little hotel ist wonderful. Staff is extremely friendly, it is situated in the old, romantic part of Ulm, yet close to the train station and the Münster. Breakfast is very good and rooms very cozy and comfortable. Upon request you can also have a little water kettle in your room.
This was our second stay at this hotel and it was terrific. The location is superb, the price is right and the staff are very helpful and friendly. We had a corner room with a view to the street on two sides which was great. Will stay here again next time in Ulm.
The rooms were very clean, and the hotel staff was very helpful and polite in solving any problems I had. The hotel provided a range of facilities to use from, and the internet in the rooms was really high-speed with low ping, which was a huge plus.

My entire stay in Ulm at Engel hotel was amazing, the staff is really kind and welcoming and the room was very good. I had dinner at the hotel restaurant twice and the menu is excellent. I recommend this hotel.
The staff was very pleasant to book two rooms for one day more due to the fact that we got sick. The parking is quite cheap. I would recommend this hotel if you want to see the center of Ulm.
