Close to Autobahn exits, food was nice, staff friendly. Only a few of the staff spoke English, not a problem for me, but might be for some travellers with no German at all.

Overall very much improved stay and very good value. I would have given ten stars but the internet in room 412 was extremely slow and no vegan options on the menu was disappointing. Otherwise highly recommended especially with the free spa entrance now included in the room price

Limited but free parking outside hotel with on street option too. Friendly and informative reception, simple rooms but all that is needed. Typical continental breakfast was good. No lift to upper floors. Stay included local travel tickets with a tram stop nearby direct to the Old Town, about five stops away. Cycle hire available.
We stayed in one of the excellent corner rooms with the hexagonal lounge area which caught a huge amount of light on the rainy days we were there. Well decorated/maintained, comfy and welcoming, the room, entire hotel and staff create a relaxing feel. The restaurant is high quality with an excellent menu. The outside bar area is a really pleasant space to chill on an evening. Good proximity to thermal spas, Freiburg and the SW corner of the Black Forest.
The hotel was beautiful and very comfortable and clean. The staff was warm and welcoming. The food at the restaurant and the breakfast was delicious. We had the most relaxing stay.
