The Zollverein Mine, Unesco Heritage, worths the visit. I was there on business, but I had a great time visiting the several parks built where once there were mines or steel usines. It is a diverse city, very green. Not the very turistical place, though.
Very nice room including the bathroom and spacious south facing terrace with Nordstern view. Easy to use aircon control panel (unlike in many other hotels) and beautiful ambient lighting as well as surround sound music/TV. Very good sound insulated and quiet room. Bed is very comfortable and large. Car park right in front of the hotel. The hotel bar, lounge and restaurant are very modern, comfortable and tastefully decorated. The food at restaurant is of very good quality.

It’s a very nice flat with a small kitchen with a microwave, fridge, electric cooker. The bedroom is beautiful, light, with a big wardrobe. The bathroom is also very clean and functional. There are also washing machines in the basement (which we didn’t use).
It takes about 2 minutes to get to a supermarket and 5 minutes to the railway station. There is also a tram station nearby that gets you right to the Veltins Arena and Essen.
From the friendly welcome to the checking out, I was made to feel at ease. The door card system is easy to use and the rooms are spacious. The hotel is very clean throughout and the breakfast is always fresh and good quality. The hotel does have assigned parking which makes it easy to park close to the by. All in all a good hotel at agood price.
The staff was so helpful. She wait for us until 11:00 pm, even thought she would left at 9:00 pm. The recepsionist is so polite. The hotel its near the main street and also near the shopping street. In the room we find two chocolate for us. The help us with an iron. The staff was too suportive.
Ideal location being basically joined to the train station. The room was quite basic but it was clean and the staff were really helpful and friendly. If you stay here, you’ve got to try tastyy (about 2 minutes from the hotel)

Really nice hotel located near the stadium, but otherwise a bit outside the central city (although connected by bus and tram). the room was comfortable and well-equipped. Breakfast was extra, but complete.
The Arena Hotel provided great value for money, the perfect location, and made my after hours check-in very easy. As a bonus, there is a sushi restaurant on the ground floor.
