The location was handy to the town centre, restaurants & cafes. The staff were very friendly & helpful. The shower was great- plenty of hot water. Also having access to in-house laundry service was great too.

It’s a small colourful town with a lot of restaurants cafes shops and activities around. We stayed four days and liked it a lot. Even it’s a tourist town we liked it maybe because it’s not a high season in June.

Great city to relax and EAT!
Great city to relax and EAT! Lots of restaurants that are all very good. Optional tours outside of the city are highly recommended like the Socoro (Palms) and coffee plantations...there are others (mountain biking, etc). Uber is readily available. We were there 4 days which was just enough for us.

Salento is picturesque with colorful houses and beautiful interiors, located in the mountains and with a valley that is one of the main entrances to the high "nevados". Everything in Salento is about coffee, art, nature, birds and hiking. The best time to visit Salento is outside of the high season for a truly relax experience.

Salento is the perfect place to relax, I recommend Casa Willis for lunch, amazing food and beverages.
It also has some nice hotels to stay with a very good breakfast included, we liked Casaboutique Hotel, the staff is super friendly, clean and peaceful hotel, comfortable rooms and outstanding breakfast with an amazing view! 10/10!
Valle del Cocora is 15 minutes away and you can either do camping or go out for a walk, horseback riding, etc. Don’t skip this treasure.

The cocora valley was closed on the 2 days we were there.
The cocora valley was closed on the 2 days we were there. This was the main reason we went and due to heavy rains or something along those lines, the road was damaged and not accessible by the Willy trucks. So everyone in line was turned away and told it was closed. Salento is very salesy - Filandia is a similar vibe with all of the painted houses but a bit less sales oriented. Would have stayed in Filandia and visited Salento for the day instead.
Coffee excursion was enjoyable.

Beautiful, colorful and lively town that preserves the architecture, traditions and flair of Colombia's coffee region. The place welcomes everyone , solo travelers, couples, families, etc. It offers a good variety of activities, ranging from strolling around the town to mountain trekking, from tours at coffee farms to fine handcrafts shopping, from dining traditional dishes to international cuisine. I recommend visiting this town to everyone.
The views from the balcony towards the Cocora Valley are the biggest selling point. Our room was huge and peaceful. The hotel arranged lots of day trips to coffee finca and also hiking. The breakfast with views was stunning. The staff were all very friendly. It was great to be five minute walk into Salento but also have the peace to be away from it (with the best views).
Salento was my favourite part of our tour around Colombia. The town attracts lots of backpackers and tourists but also remains distinctly Colombian.
A beautiful tranquil hotel set in the stunning landscape of Salento. My room was next to a running stream and had the luxury of a soaking tub, which after a day of hiking, was a blissful addition! The extra large bed was super comfortable.
The staff go out of their way to help you plan your stay and to organise taxis, nothing is too big or small for them. Breakfast was great, as were the dinners I had there. I couldn't recommend it more if you're looking for a relaxing stay in Colombia's coffee country!
Hotel is a wonderful place to stay with friendly, receptive host. Mauricio was very hospitable, making sure everything went well from my stay to reserving transport arrangement on departure.

Salento is a wonderful place to relax and there are lots of things to do/see and the hotel Salento plaza is a place I would come back to again.
everything was great! Staff were super helpful and friendly (and spoke English), breakfast was really tasty, beds were very comfortable and shower was nice and hot!! location is a ten min walk from the bus station and five min walk from the main plaza, but Salento is really safe. We didn’t have a chance to have the massages but heard they were good.
Would definitely stay here again if visiting Solento!
The view of the hotel is breathtaking. Location is good. 10 minutes walking from Salento center. Breakfast was wonderful. They serve delicious scrambled eggs, fresh fruits, fruit juice, coffee, bread, cream cheese, cereals etc. Cristina is a great host. She is very helpful with your questions about restaurants, coffee farm tours, cocora valley tours etc. Overall we loved this place!
This mid-range hotel is situated a short distance from the main plaza, and is a good option if you want to be right in the town centre. It has smart rooms, good breakfast, helpful staff and reasonable tranquillity. Salento is a good base for excursions but is heavily oriented to tourism: there may be calmer and less commercial destinations in the lovely surrounding countryside.
Sebastian was a great host. He helped us a lot to plan our days, even though it wasn't his job. Thanks to him, we could make the most of our stay and we managed to squeeze so many interesting activities into our however short stay there. Our room was also very beautiful and clean. We really enjoyed our stay in this ecohotel...I highly recommend it!
Very cute and colorful hotel literally one block away from Salento's Plaza Bolivar. We enjoyed the few shared living spaces to watch the sunset over the mountains and the bedroom was small, but comfortable. It was perfect for a short stay. Breakfast was good yet simple; eggs, toasts and cheese with fruits and coffee.
It was a perfect place to stay in Salento. Wonderful service since we arrived to the hotel. Jeff was very accommodating and helpful at all times. Rustic style room with comfortable bed, spacious bathroom and a nice chimney. They have a nice turco and jacuzzi available. Would stay here again if we are to come back!
This is my second stay at Terrazas de Salento and I loved it just as much as the first time. It has such a peaceful, homely and grounded feeling. Leider was delightful and I so appreciate all his help and care during my stay. The couple that own the hotel are very warm and welcoming too. Muchas gracias.

Really beautiful place, located a bit a far from salento (10 min by Uber/bus) but the stops is just in front of the place. Also, you have access to good hiking spots (20 min walk)
