We stayed off season (end of Oct). Everything was excellent, really clean and cosy, staff were lovely. Breakfast was included and was amazing. Also had dinner there one night and cheese fondue was great. Highly recommend the place!

We stayed in rooms 202 and 205. 202 was a corner room, with balcony. Nice and airy. 205 was a bit darker but also with a balcony. both opening towards Lauterbrunnen valley. 200s are still a bit low, so view is nice but blocked by trees. And these rooms decor is on the older side. Beds were comfortable, there was tea pot and coffee maker in the room. In our room, the heater did not work well, so we could make it cooler (we just opened the doors of the balcony). Staff was very nice (kuddos to Stacy, the other two servers, and receptionist from NL -forgot her name, that were super super friendly to us). Breakfast/dinner room is like an older ballroom, feels nice and fancy. Common area by the bar is large and comfortable to sit down if you don't want to stay in the room.
They have a spa upstairs but we did not have the chance to use it or see it.
Its a bit of a hill to go up from the train station (even if it is next door). if you are bringing lots of luggage, arrange with them for pick up. they were super nice and carried my mother in law down to the station in the little wagon!

The view from the hotel and our room was exceptionally beautiful. The breakfast was plentiful and a good variety, but no hot breakfast offered. The hotel had a homely feel and staff were generally very helpful and friendly. There was an option of having an evening meal at the hotel.

Our room was not available or it was double booked so the Hotel upgraded us to another larger room at the same rate. The Hotel is Centrally located to the Alps, which made it easy to get around. Close to hiking trails and the view was wonderful. Breakfast was fresh and very good.

Wengen was a car-free village, so other than electric work vehicles, it was a quiet easy place to get around. Being 12 minutes or so to Lauterbrunnen from a train that runs every 30 minutes was great for getting around the area particularly to Murren/Gimmewald and Interlaken. In addition, the tram to Mannlichen being just a short walk away was incredible for access to hiking and getting to a lot of places like Grindelwald and Jungfraujoch. All in all a great place to use as a base location in addition to exploring.

A beautiful little town with stunning views.
A beautiful little town with stunning views. So many trails, walks and activities. Lots of dining options, we used the local Spar for fruit and sandwiches before hiring trail bikes to cycle to Kleine Scheidegg. The trains run regularly and you can get anywhere quickly and efficiently so it's a good base.

The town was beautiful and picture perfect.
The town was beautiful and picture perfect. The views are amazing. No cars and very charming.
Wengen is perfect for visiting many towns in the Bernese Oberland region. It is great for doing some easy but also very challenging hikes.
If you plan to visit the Jungfraujoch, it is great location as your base.
There were a few stores to buy food and essentials but there is no pharmacy. There were quite a few restaurants to choose from in the town including ones in the hotels.

Wengen first blew my mind when I stepped out the train as the view of the valley was amazing. The views from almost anywhere in the village are picture-worthy. There is a public swimming pool where you pay 6 frank to enter and have amazing views of the mountains.

The location of the hotel is superb, just next to Wengen train station. We booked a family room for 4 so has an upperdeck for the kids and they love it. Reception staffs were very helpful and there was a dedicated luggage storage room in case you need to check out but still hanging around the area, in our case, we checked out at 7am and proceeded to Jungfraujoch, only returning to Wengen in the evening to collect our luggage and return to interlaken. Breakfast was good as well. Weather is awesome!
Staying at this hotel was one of the highlights of our trip-- I wish we could have stayed longer! The breakfast was exceptional and a perfect start to the day. Coming back in the evenings and relaxing in the hot tub was so relaxing. The proximity to the Wengen rail station made it so easy to get to and from our adventures. I hope that we can make another visit someday!
This property is a grand hotel with the most amazing views. We paid slightly more for a room with a view and I don’t think I’ve ever had such an amazing vista from a hotel room. The room was large with a balcony that we spent much time sitting on. We visited many of the surrounding towns but voted Wengen the best - it is small and absolutely gorgeous
Really friendly family run hotel. The 4 course dinners are good value for Switzerland and quite fun! They cater for vegetarians too. Beautiful alpine architecture and views. Highly recommend!
In my opinion this hotel probably has the best views in Wengen from your balcony and is worth the price of stay. Breakfast every morning was great and the staff very attentive.
