A beautiful hotel on Lake Lugano. Friendly reception staff and restaurant staff too. We had a Junior Suite in the 2nd floor overlooking the lake as an upgrade. Spotlessly clean rooms and very comfortable bed. We had a beautiful meal in the restaurant and breakfast was included. Can’t say enough about this place 5⭐️

Very large room with balcony view of the mountains. Very friendly owners who went the extra mile to help us with parking, public transport to Lugano (so easy and quick - why stay in Lugano?). Excellent breakfast.

It is an affordable hotel, the room is tight but comfortable and clean. We also liked that the television supported streaming 😁, worked great!
Although not as luxurious as more expensive hotels, the breakfast was very good, the staff even provided gluten free bread when we asked!!

I have stayed here before and the biggest advantage of this hotel is the location next to the funicular to the railway station. But it is also perfectly located in the center of Lugano's old town.
They have rooms with 3 beds which was perfect for this stay.

Great Great Great Location. Was very fortunate, getting a room overlooking Lake Lugano. The Staff was extremely wonderful. I think his name was Gabo. Helpful, at every turn. A glass of wine while sitting at the patio, overlooking Lake Lugano was amazing.
Need to remember, the building is over a hundred years old, so it's not your typical Hotel. But the experience of staying here, will last you forever. A good 6 to 7 minute drive to Lugano main street and waterfront. A picturesque drive for the memories bank.
Excellent hotel quality and you feel instantly at home. All staff are amazingly helpful and many thanks to Lucy, Carlotta and Augustina, plus the hotel manger who very kindly took us to the local railway station. Exceptional customer service and we are already staying again in apr24. Rooms and lovely and airy with very comfortable bed and pillows. Strong wifi. Breakfast plentiful! Free parking on site too which is a bonus.

Short walk from the train station. the bus out front going in the opposite direction loops around to the San Sebastian funicular and the big city of Lugano nearby or directly back to the train station. Great breakfast. Fantastic View. Comes with the Ticino pass which gives you discounts and free public transportation in the area. Nice restaurant down the Street open till 10:00. Had a fan in the room
Location is amazing, by the lake and walking distance to the train station. Also a bus stop is in front of the hotel. The room was very clean, comfortable bed and pillows. I asked for an extra blanket and I received big, fluffy blanket that kept me warm. When I was booking it stated “room with street view “ but we had a terrace available with table and chairs, also with a view to the lake.
I loved the family atmosphere this hotel provides. The rooms were nicely decorated. The staff was remarkably helpful. I asked for help with a doctor appointment for my wife and they were very cooperative and called and made the appointment. I very much appreciate their support throughout my stay. special thanks to Julian for going out of his way to help out.
nice location steps from the lake. very cool property that used to be a cellar and has been converted into an apartment. unique design and layout. very clean. stays cool in summer because the building sits right at the base of the mountain. the owners are incredibly nice and helpful. I would stay here again.
The appartement had a really nice balcony with the most wonderful vieuw of Melide. It was spacious and clean. Good WiFi, a nice kitchen and 2 toilets. Also very nice that in this apparent they took measures to keep mosquitos and flies out. Every window was covered. We will definitely come back here.
The room had a fabulous view of the lake and the surrounding mountains and just about 2 or 3 mins away from the lake promenade. If arriving by train there's a direct bus to the hotel. The hotel provides only breakfast but there's a pizzeria and two other restaurants a few metres away.
Superb location, lovely quaint hotel and the staff were spot on 👍🏻. We were given the garden bedroom after requesting a ground floor room as travelling with 2 dogs. A secure enclosed space for the dogs to wander round rather than being cooped up in a room ….. perfect 😀
Received an upgrade to a Lakeview suite with a balcony. Although it was winter time the view was wonderful to wake up to in the morning. Staff is exceptionally friendly, I have been guest at the Diamond hotel for decades but would gladly stay here for a few days instead.
Good communication, friendly reception, prepared Ticino tickets promptly, the hotel let us keep our luggage till late in the evening on day of check out, very nice breakfast, small balcony with lake view
