We love this hotel. Their price-quality ratio for Grimentz is unbeatable for years, and that's why we always come to this hotel with a group of friends twice every winter. The rooms are nice and spacious, the staff is kind, the SPA is great and the breakfast is plentiful and yummy. Not to mention that you need 30 seconds to be at the cablecar start... Already looking forward to the winter 24/25 to be back at the Hotel Alpina :).

Nice place but it seems they start to turn it into a construction site, a lot of new development at higher altitude levels ; it still has charm but fear that this unknown gem is now fully exposed to foreign and domestic real estate investments. I come here for over 18 years and witnessed these gradual changes with mixed emotions. Also prices are hiked up seriously, dinner, supermarket, replacing a broken ski helmet with a new one etc...seems all 30 to 40 percent more expensive than comparable resorts in France .

Grimentz is a very pretty village up on the mountains.
Grimentz is a very pretty village up on the mountains. But it is still small enough to be very quiet and cozy. Having a car helps a lot. You can also drive up to a dam and lake or even higher up to the glacier (Parking space at both locations). Cable car stations in the middle of the village with access to both mountain sides. Lots of shopping options.

It is a small, high altitude traditional village in Valais, in Anniviers valley. It has a great variety of hikes, one of the most beautiful lakes (Moiry) and glacier where you can reach very easily. It is not so crowded comparing with other much more ''comercial'' locations but it is offering much more than many of them

Grimentz is quite a quaint little village and interesting on its own to visit for one night but would be a great place to stay for longer in the summer or winter as there are good opportunities for hiking in summer and skiing etc in the winter. We were given free daily lift/bus passes for the whole of Val D’Anniviers for each day that we had stayed in a hotel in the valley - this was a very nice and welcome touch as we had spent the previous ten days in Zermatt where this wasn’t a feature.
Everything was great! The room was beautiful, with nice wood paneling everywhere! Amazing views from the windows! The bed was very comfortable! The bathroom was neat, it had a small window above the tub where you can lookout at the chalets & mountains! Breakfast was really delicious, especially the cheese! The atmosphere at dinner was old Swiss, with a variety of menu options! The staff was kind & friendly! Great location, right next to the picturesque walkways of old Grimentz village! Charming Hotel in a Charming Town! Thanks! 😊
The appartment was new, and really well fitted with great equipment. Very nice view, from the master bedroom and the living room and a balcony all around the appartment. The gym has very good equipment (rowing machine, ski training machine, elliptical, etc). Walking distance from all the main stores in Grimentz, the Gondola and Cable car and of course from the beautiful village itself. The person who welcomed us was really kind, and helpful.
We really enjoyed our stay there and will definitely come back in the summer or winter.
Beautifully furnished apartment, which was spotlessly clean for us upon arrival. We were met by Antonier upon our arrival, who handed us the keys and explained everything we needed to know about the apartment and Grimentz itself. There are great views from the balcony, and the location of the apartment is fantastic (less than 5 minutes walk from the gondola station). Wouldn't hesitate to book this apartment again if we ever return to Grimentz. Secure parking and storage was available for our bikes.
The chalet was beautifully presented and had some lovely little touches

The location of the property is perfectly placed for Skiing as it’s right opposite the lifts and is also well placed for all local Amenities
I cannot recommend highly enough
The standard of the accommodation was exceptional. The hot tub was used by our kids everyday. The kitchen facilities were first class. The location was really good, close to the main ski lift, and with a great apres ski bar closeby that we could ski into.
We were delighted with the kindness, professionalism, and tidiness and will certainly come again (Grimentz is magical). Everything was perfect including generous breakfast consisting of top quality local meats, cheeses, forest fruit jams etc.
Bot the host and hostess are very kind and friendly people and a pleasure to get to know. The location although not a prime location was still well situated with a parking lot right in front of the hotel which is big plus.

We loved the hike to the Moiry great with kids, and easy to do day trips to the other villages by bus, a car is defiantly not needed. The chalet itself was beautiful clean and spacious.
