Abide Within Bed & Breakfast is located in a residential area just south of the Truro city center. It's very nicely appointed with spacious rooms. Jenny was a wonderful host who prepared a very nice breakfast and friendly conversation. The B&B is just across the street from the wonderful Victoria Park, a large city park with lots of walking trails and a waterfall; do visit the park if time allows.

I didn't feel like being in a motel, I felt like being in a clean dungeon without a fridge or a kitchen to have some hot water or warm up a food....
I don't recommend it to anyone!

Truro's Victoria Park is a wonderful place.
Truro's Victoria Park is a wonderful place. The town has great restaurants and is easy to navigate. The people are friendly and helpful.
The roads could use a little work on them.
Thai Express and Mezza where good for tasty fast food.
The British Cafe was great with very friendly staff and you could take your dog to the outdoor patio.

Swiss Chalet is the best in the Province
Not to easy to get around Truro. You need a GPS
The Glooscap Trail is great ,very scenic. Truro a great central location to go to other places of interest.
We stayed here just as Hurricane Fiona hit Nova Scotia so we had driven from Cape Breton. The staff were incredible given the upheaval as a result of the wind & rain. They provided a breakfast the morning after the storm ( despite power being out) , and then later in the day sandwiches & soup when everything was closed . The staff at the Prince Hotel were cheerful and made the effort to come in and help despite many having their own homes without power. I could not recommend this hotel highly enough given our experience.
We absolutely loved this property, this is the best place to stay in Truro! It is well located with a country feel but still close to downtown, spacious inside and out, comfortable beds, private and sparkling clean bathrooms with each suite, it is much better than a hotel. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and the hosts were amazing! We had a great time hanging by the pool.
Our tour bus was late getting back and the staff member on shift sent me his number to call when we arrived so he could check us in. We arrived at 11pm an hour after his shift ended as he was very accommodating. The hotel also allowed me to park my vehicle there while gone away on the bus tour. Loved the size of the fridge and the kitchenette
The location was good and the main building was nice. I wish I could have actually enjoyed it. Being a single female occupant in the facility they put me in the motel like building and I did not feel safe walking in the dark to go back to the main building to actually use any of the other benefits of the hotel like the pool or hot tub.
The hotel was as shown in the photo- the rooms. The Stone House is not actually what you rent here, there is a classic U shaped cluster of rooms around the Stone house that you reside in. These are typical budget rooms. It is clean, has the basics inside. Nothing fancy. Basic room, NO BED BUGS, NO ROACHES (I looked).
Just the basics: Clean room, comfortable bed, location close to downtown Truro and all highway access points. View of the nearby tidal bore. Owner I deal with was very pleasant and appreciative. It's an older place but the owners keep everything well-maintained. Owner responded well to messages regarding check-in times.
We stayed at this motel after completing our trip around Cape Breton. It is conveniently located at Truro, a good stop between Cape Breton and PEI. It is easy to find, and the stay was great. The room is quite new and clean.
Convenience near the tidal bore activities in the river and the Bay of Fundy.
Also, very close to the junction between New Brunswick, Halifax and the eastern side of Nova Scotia.
Very good location in Truro, especially for working downtown. Lovely old home that’s been well maintained. Smell of fresh baked bread wafting through the lobby when I arrived.
Included breakfast was very good and probably one of the highlights of the hotel. Economically priced. Would have been nicer if it was closer to the downtown of Truro.
I was really surprised by this hotel. The price was excellent the service very good (we had tv problems), the room was spotless and everything seemed well kept.
The room was cozy and clean; the breakfast fabulous!! And our host and hostess were welcoming and friendly. This is a wonderful place to stay in Truro.
