Staff was very friendly and accomidating. We were there for a cheer competition and were pleasently surprised to see the pool was open when we thought it was closed. The rooms were a great size which was awesome.

The breakfast was delicious - and very filling. The extra nice touch was that it was served on silver platters, etc. The whole place had a welcoming atmosphere- a very beautifully renovated older home. The hosts were very gracious.

This accommodation has so many heavy locked doors!
This accommodation has so many heavy locked doors!
I didn't feel like being in a motel, I felt like being in a clean dungeon without a fridge or a kitchen to have some hot water or warm up a food....
I don't recommend it to anyone!

Victoria Park was excellent
Swiss Chalet is the best in the Province
Not to easy to get around Truro. You need a GPS
The Glooscap Trail is great ,very scenic. Truro a great central location to go to other places of interest.
Ruth is a great host, very welcoming, very knowledgeable about the local area and Canada in general. The breakfast was super. The garden is nice. Even though it is a shared accommodation, there is a good deal of privacy, as the bathroom and bedroom are behind a door. The night we stayed, the other room had no guests, btw. Ruth has a friendly older dog, so if you like furry friends that could be a bonus.
The location is nice -- in a residential area but very close to Truro and the Tidal Discovery Site. Truro is a small city.
We absolutely loved this property, this is the best place to stay in Truro! It is well located with a country feel but still close to downtown, spacious inside and out, comfortable beds, private and sparkling clean bathrooms with each suite, it is much better than a hotel. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and the hosts were amazing! We had a great time hanging by the pool.
It was clean, bright and everything was great. The staff was excellent and courteous. Often at hotels, I have found staff to be condescending or arrogant. Not the case here.
The breakfast looked excellent. Cereal, toast, eggs, cereal, hash browns, yogurt juice, milk, coffee, etc. Sadly no bacon. :)
There was even a grassy courtyard with picnic tables and seating.
The location was good and the main building was nice. I wish I could have actually enjoyed it. Being a single female occupant in the facility they put me in the motel like building and I did not feel safe walking in the dark to go back to the main building to actually use any of the other benefits of the hotel like the pool or hot tub.
The scenery and location are beautiful. Extremely friendly and accommodating management/staff. Rooms were great and pricing very reasonable. Extremely close to everything you need in Truro but still just outside of the hustle and bustle which makes it very unique to most hotels in the area.
The best thing about this motel is it's location to everything else in the city. Made shopping and eating easy, all within walking distance. For a night stay over on route to another destination, it was fine.
It was clean and comfortable, and the continental breakfast was very satisfactory. Staff were friendly and helpful. It is a short drive from downtown Truro, where there are lots of shops and restaurants.
We chose this hotel based on the location. We were able to walk downtown where there are a few restaurants. Breakfast was decent and the lady serving it was lovely. All of the staff were very nice.
Convenience near the tidal bore activities in the river and the Bay of Fundy.
Also, very close to the junction between New Brunswick, Halifax and the eastern side of Nova Scotia.
Nicely renovated old style motel, with modern bathroom and fixtures. The room was large and comfortable, and location was great for what we wanted to do in Truro.
The location is good for access to the trans Canada Highway and to central Truro. Room and bed were on the small side but comfortable. Breakfast was superb.
The owners take pride in their home and open it up to visitors. They use their main dining room for a wonderful breakfast served using their best dishes.
