Small, very european feel to my room (think Ibis in Europe) very pleasant front staff.
Small gym, bike, treadmill, eliptical, and a few weights. Small outdoor sauna on the rooftop patio was off and locked.

The view, the thoughtful touches like having games available, magazines to read, the quiet, the comfortable beds, the art pieces around the property, the small animals that we saw while sitting on the deck.

We liked the historical aspect. However, we thought the " organic" was being taken a little to seriously. We're all in favors of choices, and didn't like having this view pushed so hard on us almost every where we went in town.

Nelson has great character.
Nelson has great character. Beautiful buildings, excellent restaurants and an amazing setting on. kootenay Lake. The only issue we had was parking was difficult to find but then, it was Valentine’s Day so maybe it’s not always so bad.

Nelson has many well preserved buildings from the mid 1800s

It is beautifully situated and the setting is picturesque. However the town is not pretty with too many ugly buildings of an industrial nature near the shoreline.

Stunning little city with independent shops and eateries all within a couple of blocks. The river walk to the park and beach was lovely. Even the scenery from the car journey to get to Nelson was fabulous!

My first time to Nelson I found the hotel online and it stood out ! The location was perfect right from the moment I checked in. Shannon helped me renew my stay 2 times. I had only planned on I night. Even the man at the bar knew I drank coors beer. I asked for an extra shampoo and the lady gave me 3 ! I loved the numbers on the doors. I was married to a welder ! The room Shannon changed for me was as sweet as could be. Bed was great of course AC.
The comfort, easy going nature, the people coming in and out, handiness of staying there when in Nelson, heat of the room, the manager Cindy was fantastic with everything and so was Kelly who worked there for anything I needed during my stay - made to feel very comfortable staying especially for the first time in a hostel. Would recommend to anyone to stay there and have done so since I left
This is first time I stayed in a contactless hotel. It’s really convenient. The owner is a couple, they take care of the hotel like their baby. They really care about the details and almost have everything you need. I really like the design of the hotel. The suite that I lived in with amazing views. I really enjoyed my vacation there.
We had verandah suite looking onto beautiful garden, and although property is right on edge of downtown Nelson noise does not disturb. Great location, perfectly equipped kitchen with generous basic food items provided and large living room with comfortable bed and quirky furnishings. Accommodation spotlessly clean. Super cool!
Good and quiet location away from Nelson which in July was heaving. Very nice owner who was happy to let us check in when we arrived three hours early. There’s a small restaurant, open only 3.30 pm - 8.00 pm, but a few tables outside overlooking the lake. Vietnamese style food.
Location was great Beds were comfy, rooms were clean and supplied everything we needed. Host was friendly and informative. Lots of maintenance going on constantly and it shows!! Pet friendly
Great location right downtown. It's a small, unique hotel with a European feel. Sauna and roof top hot tub were great. Also excellent Thai and Sushi restaurants on the main floor.
Loved everything about Cloudside, charming, comfortable hotel in an old (but updated) home, perfect location, wonderful owner/staff. We’d definitely stay again.
