This is our second stay at the Kitch, and I have to say Danielle and staff NEVER disapoint! The room is fully stocked with coffee and snacks, has a bathroom with a spa tub and all the bath items you could ever want, including fluffy bathrobes, AC, huge tv and the most important...a very comfy bed! We also booked dinner downstairs and had a wonderful meal on the patio while listening to an excellant singer, Doug Hawko. Another perfect stay at The Kitch!
It’s a charming, lovely town, a UNESCO site. A fishing town. Every building is a work of art (except the new ones.). Lots of history. And great seafood.
The Fish Shack was a popular bustling place, outdoor patio overlooking the water.
Take the Seaweed Tour from the waterfront. Nancy the owner is a great storyteller and the two hour tour takes you to several great coastal spots.

We were probably 2 weeks off the start of the tourist season...
We were probably 2 weeks off the start of the tourist season, so Lunenburg itself was VERY quiet. Stores closed by 4pm/5pm and restaurants closed by 8pm. We were THE ONLY people out walking at 8.30pm around the waterfront and within the town. Oven Park was closed, as were many of the other nearby attractions. I would suggest your time your visit around the tourist season. The town itself is absolutely beautiful being a UNESCO site and we really enjoyed walking around a sightseeing. It is a beautiful town. Also, all of the restaurants we ate at were delicious. Salt Shaker Deli & Inn. The South Shore Fish Shack. Dockside Lobster & Seafood Restaurant

We had a phenomenal stay at this beautiful historic inn. The room was lovely and very cozy, resulting in 2 nights of very good sleep. Lisa, The hostess made 2 different creative and filling. Lisa gave up very good touring sites advice. Would stay here again with no hesitation. Recommend this inn very highly to others.

Lunenberg, of course, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, but...
Lunenberg, of course, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, but there's almost nothing to see here. The downtown is a single street a few blocks long with a couple of mostly-empty side streets. One picture, and you are ready to move on.

Beautiful place. A must see destination.
Beautiful place. A must see destination. We only had one night and should have stayed longer. Lots of places to see. Lots of places to eat but it’s busy with tourists. We went a little off the beaten track away from the sea front and found some less busy eateries.

The most interesting item was the Fisheries Museum.
The most interesting item was the Fisheries Museum. Most of the restaurant served fried foods but we ate at The Lincoln Street Food Store which was very good. We found that the restaurants were expensive for the type of food they offered. To get around in Lunenburg was fairly easy, there are a lot of hills. I think that if we made another trip to Lunenburg we would try to get into the Art Galleries, most were closed when we were there. We would avoid most of the restaurants and try to find one that didn't serve only fried foods.
My family stayed @ this beautiful Inn for 3 days while we were attending our daughters Wedding that was taking place in Lunenburg .
The Inn itself is beautiful , surrounded by a tranquil expanse of a property ! Each morning a delicious hot & cold breakfast was served
The Innkeepers Joe & Chris are very friendly & welcoming
We loved everything about it! We stayed in the Cranberry Building and had a large suite. Not only did we love our room, but we loved the complimentary breakfast. The hotel is located downtown and walking distance to restaurants and other shops. We will definitely stay here again if we are in Lunenburg!
The location is great, the room was clean, spacious and had a coffee maker and small fridge.
The check in was a bit unexpected. There is no desk as in the hotel, we were checked in by a waitress in the restaurant on the ground floor. There is no breakfast, as the restaurant opens at 11 am.
Wonderful breakfast all prepared and served in house. Fantastic oak doors and doorframes. Great attention to detail in the rooms and throughout the property. A truly exception place to stay. I would recommend to anyone who wants to visit Lunenburg and stay at an exceptional property.
Lunenburg is a popular tourist destination because of its exceptional beauty and so I did expect the high dollar rental cost; I appreciated the water view very much, especially as the fog rolled in that evening. I can't think we would have found a better view at many other places.
The inn is right within the main part of Lunenburg. The inn is quaint and our room was large and comfy, more than adequate. We had a choice of what we would like for breakfast, how the eggs were cooked and how much which was just great. The host was very friendly and helpful
Very quiet at night. I stayed in a cottage and it was almost like your own house. Beautiful view when you wake up and have coffee in front of your cottage. Not too far to Lunenburg. I actually walked. It took me about 20 minutes but I walk pretty fast
The beds and pillows were super comfy and the entire room very clean. The motel location was no more than a 15min walk from the main warf in Lunenburg and each room had a cute little seating area for enjoying the sun or smokers.
Great location - easy to walk about Lunenburg.
Beautiful large older home. The host was helpful and friendly. We enjoyed happy hour with other guests in the large porch. Breakfast was available but we opted out.
No breakfast.
Weather was pouring rain and also there was a serious house fire in town so sirens going for hours!
None of that was in any way the hosts fault but that is what we remember about Lunenburg.
We loved the location and the room was spacious and the view of the Lunenburg harbour was amazing. This little gem is close to everything. The breakfast was gourmet. We wished we could have stayed longer.
it’s hard to explore other restaurants when you’re staying above the best restaurant in Lunenburg!! Supper and breakfast for us. also, the bed is a heavenly pillow, and the view is spectacular
lisa who looked after us there was helpful patient attentive a real treasure. beautiful hotel with lovely antiques. comfortable bed. good breakfast great location in centre of town.
The location and view from our room was perfect. It was very cozy and very clean ! We will definitely returning for another stay in the future! Best Inn in Lunenburg hands down !
