I love ❤️ the view from our window. And the motel was right on the trail for cabot trail. As that was the reason for our trip.
Located on Highway 105, along the shores of Bras d’Or Lake, this motel has a private beach and is one km west of the entrance to the Cabot Trail.

We thought Mac, the owner was a complete delight and very accommodating. We didn’t arrive until late, they even left the lights on for us to enter the property. Cape Breton is beautiful all on its own with breathtaking views, but when you have people like Mac to help your stay be as comfortable as it can then it’s all the more beautiful. We would love to go back in the summer months as it was still winter when we ventured here. Thank you Mac for being one of the kindest people we’ve had the pleasure of meeting on our travels. ☺️

Breakfast at The Freight Shed was AMAZING!!! The staff were kind and so attentive!!! The location on the wharf was just lovely - especially in the early evening, with the view and the food!!! We ate there every morning (as the breakfast was included in our room) and had dinner a few nights!!!

Baddeck is a jewel on the B.D. Lakes.
Baddeck is a jewel on the B.D. Lakes. It is very scenic with lovely tourist shops and cafes. The scenery is amazing and the salt water lake offers recreational opportunities. Don't miss the nightly ceilidh, and especially on Thursday evenings. There are lots of great places to eat or drink local beverages.

A very pretty town in itself and the perfect jumping off for the famed Cabot Trail. There are some nice restaurants including the Freight Shed which sits right on the dock which has Muskoka chairs where one can sit and take in the view of the lighthouse.

We spent a lot more time in the Bell's museum because it was above and beyond our expectation.
The museum guided tours are a must-do!
It runs only twice a day (morning and afternoon, but different tour subjects), so make sure to make it.
Our guid was just fantastic!.
We wish our kids were with us for this.
All in all we spent half a day at the museum.

Small town with many restaurants, boutiques, cafes as well as basic amenities such as a pharmacy and grocery store. Wonderful walks along the shore of the Bras D’Or lakes as well as the pier and through town. There are also cultural events such as the music concert we attended and a drama group that puts on plays. The Alexander Bell museum is worth a visit as well.

Nice flatscreen TV with satellite.
Spacious bedrooms.
Manager Roland was very friendly.
Our room was clean and cheerful, and the twin beds were comfortable with nice linen. The location is close to the main tourist area of Baddeck and handy for walking to a local ceilidh. The elevated views from the hotel of the village of Baddeck and the lake were stunning, and the patio area of the hotel had beautiful flowers and baskets. Breakfast is a little extra cost, but the buffet and room together represented good value. The hotel staff were all polite and welcoming.
We enjoyed or stay!
We stayed in Room 3 which faces Baddeck Bay. The views from the room are breathtaking. We absolutely loved it!
The room is nicely decorated, in tune with the character of the property. In addition to the bed, furnishings included two chairs, a console table, an armoire and a night stand.
Breakfast was delicious and there were lots of options to choose from.
The room was that of a standard hotel, which was fine for us. Our room had two beds and was spacious, with views of the lake. It looks as it has been recently painted and was clean. There was a fridge, which was useful and a coffee machine, which we didn't use. The location was excellent, a short walk to town. There was plenty of free parking.
I liked the location. Was on a hill so had an amazing view of Bras D'Or lake. Went for a nice swim & enjoyed a beer on the dock. Was a 3-5 minute drive to Baddeck. Staff was excellent and very friendly. Dining room was very pleasant with a great view of lake. Breakfast, which is not included in price, was wonderful and service was great.
We loved everything about the accommodation. The bed and linens were exceptionally good and our room had a refrigerator and good wifi. We had breakfast and most of our dinners at the Freight Shed, which was close by (100 m). Our hosts Anne and Jeff are lovely people. We will most certainly come back here on our next visit to Baddeck!
We traveled 1500 miles to get to Baddeck and Nova Scotia and we were really expecting our stay in the Inverary Resort to be a great one. Would like to start with the positive: primary location, beautiful views near the lake, excellent breakfast and staff at breakfast is very nice.
It is a Heritage Building situated smack in the Centre of Baddeck. the Furniture Carpets etc. were very clean. we had two beds which was ideal. Other Restaurants were within walking distance for a couple a little over 70 years. We will definitely go again.
The hosts were great. They accommodated our early breakfast request. They were very friendly and we enjoyed talking to them. This is a gem in a Baddeck. We will go there again and tell family and friends.
Very well situated hotel at the city limit of Baddeck. It was very quiet and we had a beautiful view towards the water. The room was big and comfortable with a little terrace and two deck chairs.
