Stunning place but Brenda and Roger themselves make it truly special. The room was cosy and perfectly clean. The view was truly special too. Brenda and Roger prepared an outstanding delicious breakfast every day (best egg Benedict’s I ever had) and we had lovely conversations. Thank you so much for having us. We will be back.

Nice and warm hosts, good breakfast, beautiful view especially the sun peering through the early morning fog in the valley. I had never seen anything like it.

we have spent far less for much better accommodation - we basically wasted a day there, as there was so little to do, especially with poor weather... and it was not a great place to spend a day inside!

Le Portage is a very nice golf course.
Le Portage is a very nice golf course. Virtually every hole is secluded and the whole facility is well tended and the fee is reasonable. After our round on a Saturday morning, we went to the Doryman's restaurant where a ceilidh was happening. Terrific maritime music and many patrons took their turn at step dancing. Great fun! Finally, a nice meal at the Harbour restaurant rounded out our fabulous day. We were lucky... the next day it poured buckets and we left a day earlier than planned.

Nice small town with pleasant stony beach.
Nice small town with pleasant stony beach. Doryman's Pub was perfect for dinner with live music. The community was there dancing to traditional music. Great place to stay during Cabot Trail drive around Cape Breton.
They did a great job converting this older home into a beautiful and cozy hotel. We had room #2 in the main house and it was very nicely decorated with an amazing bathroom (bathrobes too!). It was all very fresh and clean. Snacks were provided in the room. Great sitting area with snacks, books and info on local attractions. A super nice workout room. Good communication with owners, though we never met them in person. Perfect location to get a good sleep after driving Cabot Trail counter-clockwise.
We liked how spacious the rooms were. The jacuzzi in the bathroom was an added bonus.
The rooms were exceptionally clean. I love how they went the little extra and left chocolates on our bed. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. We ate dinner in their restaurant, The Harbour Restaurant and the service and food was exceptional as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in Cheticamp.
we had one of the larger cabins which had a nice size kitchen/living room/dining room combo. Cabin had all the kitchen supplies like pots and pans, cutlery, dishes, and full size refrigerator. 1 local grocery store (CoOp) was about 5 minutes away but check hours….things close early. Also Cape Breton National park entrance 5 minutes away which was convenient. Ocean directly across the street(no access) pretty views.
Accolade is on the back road in Cheticamp so it is nice and quiet throughout the day. There are trails nearby and you are surrounded by fields and forests. Kevin is a great host and will share the history of his family and Cheticamp with you. The dorms are small, clean, and comfortable. There is a small kitchen you can use to prep food if you want. Very unique hostel in a renovated barn.
Felt like we were in a home and not a hotel. Very personal and beautiful house! I love old homes and this place had beautiful wood work, glass french doors and amazing bathroom. It has a great view of the water as well. The staff are so friendly and gave advice on where to eat and what to do around the town!
We loved the space. It is essentially a one bedroom apartment, clean and spacious with a full kitchen nice sized bathroom and big enough living room. Because the weather was rainy off and on while we were in Cheticamp it was great to have a space we could call “home”.
And the restaurant had great food!
Nice modern interior and appliances, also got a free upgrade on our suite. The Cabot suite was fully stocked with cookware, stove, and dishwasher, so we were able to cook dinner easily, which was a good option to have since there were only a handful of restaurants open in Cheticamp during the winter.
You are literally almost on the pier! It is spectacular! So fun and quaint and comfy! There isn't a thing you can't walk to in Cheticamp proper and it felt so safe! Lovely really! We did not have noise with the boats leaving in the morning but we found them to be wonderful to watch!
Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was in their restaurant at the front of the hotel, in a separate building. Breakfast was unlimited, ordered off a small menu, cooked to order, and was excellent. You helped yourself to drinks, cereal, and muffins. Staff were all very nice.
It was a lovely spot right in the heart of Cheticamp on the Cabot Trail. Close to restaurants, beaches, golf, whale watching, hiking. The kitchen was very spacious with everything needed, staff friendly, very clean cottage , good water pressure etc.
Breakfast wasn't provided or expected. There was a kettle and coffee maker, plates, cups, etc. Very clean and pleasantly decorated. Michele the innkeeper was very friendly and helpful. If we could come back to Chéticamp, we'd stay here again.
The host exceeded our expectations. When we were temporarily lost, they went out of their way to ensure we would find the property. The accommodations were excellent and the renovations they undertook would be on par with a nice hotel.
Beautiful setting with great staff. We felt at peace the whole time we were there, grounds are kept beautiful and lots of sights to see in one area, would recommend this motel to anyone going to Cheticamp.
Considerably more modern than the images make it look, this hotel was perfect. Efficient, well located and comfortable. It has a kitchen with snacks and a washer and dryer the guests can use.
