Stunning place but Brenda and Roger themselves make it truly special. The room was cosy and perfectly clean. The view was truly special too. Brenda and Roger prepared an outstanding delicious breakfast every day (best egg Benedict’s I ever had) and we had lovely conversations. Thank you so much for having us. We will be back.
Margaree Harbour View Inn B&B is located in Margaree Harbour. It offers free Wi-Fi access, a full daily breakfast and a shared patio overlooking Margaree Highland Mountains.

Nice and warm hosts, good breakfast, beautiful view especially the sun peering through the early morning fog in the valley. I had never seen anything like it.
Le Portage is a very nice golf course. Virtually every hole is secluded and the whole facility is well tended and the fee is reasonable. After our round on a Saturday morning, we went to the Doryman's restaurant where a ceilidh was happening. Terrific maritime music and many patrons took their turn at step dancing. Great fun! Finally, a nice meal at the Harbour restaurant rounded out our fabulous day. We were lucky... the next day it poured buckets and we left a day earlier than planned.

It is a very friendly community that welcomes people to visit, enjoy the points of interest as well as talk to the people and learn about this community' unique culture and interesting history. Everyone should visit at least once. Local talent at restaurants and community centers is enjoyable and fun!

Nice small town with pleasant stony beach.
Nice small town with pleasant stony beach. Doryman's Pub was perfect for dinner with live music. The community was there dancing to traditional music. Great place to stay during Cabot Trail drive around Cape Breton.

We totally enjoyed Cheticamp, the accommodations were excellent, the friendliness' of the town folk was exceptional, The restaurants, grocery staff at the Co-Op and the legion members were all very inviting and they all treated us with warmth and welcoming. Cheticamp is where I will continue to bring our out of province guests to visit,
This was one of the highlights of our trip to Nova Scotia. Michelle MacLean attended school in Chéticamp, and saw the single-storey building change owners and functions over the years. She and her husband Barry have transformed the vintage schoolhouse into a series of cozy, comfy, highly individual guest rooms appointed with all “mod cons”. Michelle is a generous, sunny host who respects her guests’ privacy but is always ready to make their experience even more memorable. The environs are quiet and pastoral.
They did a great job converting this older home into a beautiful and cozy hotel. We had room #2 in the main house and it was very nicely decorated with an amazing bathroom (bathrobes too!). It was all very fresh and clean. Snacks were provided in the room. Great sitting area with snacks, books and info on local attractions. A super nice workout room. Good communication with owners, though we never met them in person. Perfect location to get a good sleep after driving Cabot Trail counter-clockwise.
we had one of the larger cabins which had a nice size kitchen/living room/dining room combo. Cabin had all the kitchen supplies like pots and pans, cutlery, dishes, and full size refrigerator. 1 local grocery store (CoOp) was about 5 minutes away but check hours….things close early. Also Cape Breton National park entrance 5 minutes away which was convenient. Ocean directly across the street(no access) pretty views.
Accolade is on the back road in Cheticamp so it is nice and quiet throughout the day. There are trails nearby and you are surrounded by fields and forests. Kevin is a great host and will share the history of his family and Cheticamp with you. The dorms are small, clean, and comfortable. There is a small kitchen you can use to prep food if you want. Very unique hostel in a renovated barn.
A lovely inn situated in a perfect location. Right on the water with daily views of gorgeous sunsets. Walking distance to cafes, beer garden, pizza parlor, and great restaurants, all on the water. Excellent and friendly service from staff. Very welcoming. Easy driving distance to Cape Breton Highlands National Park - a splendid plus.
We will come back in a hurry
The room was very clean and comfortable with a nice view to the south Cheticamp area. You can tell there is an abundance of pride in how well everything is kept. The breakfast was a hot breakfast with 6 choices and it was absolutely delicious. The service was very good and the staff was highly welcoming. I would return in a minute to this same place.
We loved everything about this place. It was quiet, comfortable and felt like home. The check in process was incredibly quick and easy. The suite was central to everything you'd need so you never had to walk far. We fell in love with the community. It was beautiful. We will definitely return to La Digue Suites and to Cheticamp. Highly recommend 👌
The location for entering or exiting The Cape Breton National Park is excellent. it is in the center of Cheticamp with several restaurants within walking distance. The rooms were basic but perfectly adequate for a short stay and well equipped (coffee maker). The bonus is the view of the harbor!
Very nice location close to the cabot trail and only shortly outside of Chéticamp. Super friendly staff and great breakfast. Rooms are a good standard for a motel type but had all needed elements. Great cleaning in between our 2 nights stay. A bit clairaudient between the enighbouring rooms.
We paid for a deluxe room, which was a good size with two comfortable beds.
The hosts were friendly, available and helpful.
Motel is well located near the amenities of Cheticamp and across the river from the entrance to the National Park.
The room also had a lovely view of the river.
It was a lovely spot right in the heart of Cheticamp on the Cabot Trail. Close to restaurants, beaches, golf, whale watching, hiking. The kitchen was very spacious with everything needed, staff friendly, very clean cottage , good water pressure etc.
I loved the spaciousness of our suite. It was a wonderful change from a hotel room. Good location with a great view. Our hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. Everything was sparkling clean. I would highly recommend it.
Very comfortable, clean, quiet and well cared for. Our host Michelle went the extra mile to make the Inn and inviting place to be. This will definitely be our first choice to stay the next time we are in the Cheticamp area.
The room was comfortable and sweetly decorated. The location in Cheticamp was perfect. Check-in and out was a breeze. The bed side cubby thing was a great feature to hold everything.
Located just off the highway, good place to stay before entering the Cape Breton Highlands Park. Several restaurants within walking distance which was nice after a long drive.
A sit down made to order breakfast and friendly, bed and breakfast vibe. The place and location was lovely, up on a hill overlooking the bay, and everything felt cared for.
