From start to finish everything was perfect. We were a group of 8 and Filipe really looked after us booking us beach clubs, restaurants and taxis, nothing was a problem. The breakfast was amazing, pretty much anything you could possibly want and the local specialities were incredible. We stayed in two villas they were furnished beautifully and they both offered lots of space and comfy beds. We will return!

Very cool bungalow layout and located at the very end of a gorgeous path above a small lake. We were the only two people at the time and we felt almost like VIP

A very safe and beautiful city with amazing forrest and not crowded beach. You can walk day and night without fear.
Its possible to see tiny monkeys, hummingbirds, crabs and more.
Quadrado and centro are both well worth a visit.
Many restaurants at the quadrado, some overpriced, but in the back inside amazing views over the jungle.
The city should just invest in better roads, more streetlights and education in english.

Trancoso is still a nice historic place worth a visit.
Trancoso is still a nice historic place worth a visit. Yet be aware: places like Praia de Espelho and some other beaches are packed during weekends and even during the week in the holidays crowded. So while being a charming village still, it is fully discovered, overpriced and hard to spontaneously find a table in any restaurant, since it is generally full. Do not expect and picturesque empty village but be prepared for crowds.

Trancoso is pure magic.
Trancoso is pure magic. There wasn't one thing we didn't like about this beautiful place and hope to be back very soon. Our favorite spots were Capim Santo for dinner and the UXUA beach bungalows. We loved walking around. The moment you head either direction away from the main part of the beach, you basically get the beach to yourself.

Trancoso is a hidden gem, a small town with the most beautiful beaches, it has a lot of character with beautiful buildings around the quadrado, walking is the easiest way to get around, but the street s and roads are narrow and there are lots of hills so it will certainly help you to be fit!
There's a big selection of restaurants and cafes around the quadrado, some are quite expensive and not necessarily better than the cheaper places, don't judge a restaurant on how full it is as the nicest restaurant we ate at there, the UXUA Pousada was very quiet, there are also many beach bars from expensive to affordable, it all depends what appeals to you

Very pleasant and laid back community in Bahia state. Great nature but if you are looking for good infrastructure you might be disappointed. There are good restaurants, but they are not as inexpensive as in many other communities in Bahia and the region.
I really enjoyed my visit at Villa Pitanga - the actual grounds were beautiful and I was connected with nature the entire time I was on the property. Furthermore, Hernan kept a beautiful social environment, one that was friendly and helpful with any questions or requests I had. The entire stay exceeded my expectations, and was a wonderful place to come back to after sightseeing in the Quadrado, spending the day on the beach, or photographing the neighborhood.
This Pousada is a paradise! Our apartment was very big with a huge garden surrounding. Ananda, the owner is the heart of the place - thanks to her recommendations we discovered exceptional places in the city and Trancoso became the highlight of our holiday in Brazil.
We hope that we will have the chance to visit Trancoso again in the future and no doubt that we will choose Pousada do Bosque again.
Very well located property near Trancoso's Quadrado. The rooms are nicely decorated, very clean and the bed is super comfortable. The staff is very helpful and attentive to guest's needs. They went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. The breakfast is excellent. They offer a variety of fruit juices, omelets, breads, cakes and tapiocas. I highly recommend the suites with sea view.
The hotel is very wooded and has monkeys that come to visit. I was able to feed the monkeys. (Cool).
The hotel has a river that backs up to their property and your able to a paddle boat down the river to the Ocean..

We rented one of the houses and it couldn't be better, very clean, spacious and well decorated, only a few minutes walking to Quadrado ( restaurants). Staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing! I would recommend and go back again.

Loved everything about the hotel! The architecture, the rooms and the fact that you have to walk through a bit of a jungle to get to the pool and the rooms.

It's close to Quadrado, the room was clean and big. Staff was friendly and always available if needed. Even not having option for breakfast, a little expresso machine was good to start the days.
