Skyscrapers and the frenzy of busy Sao Paulo are matched by countless gastronomic offerings, endless cultural activities, and a busy nightlife.
Founded by Jesuits in 1554, the city also known as Sampa became a powerful industrial hub in the late 19th-century with Greater Sao Paulo now boasting almost 20 million inhabitants. Attracting immigrants from all over the world, it became the most ethnically diverse city in Brazil.
Walk down Avenida Paulista and immerse yourself in one of the biggest economic centres in the world. This avenue also represents the heart of Brazil’s cultural scene, hosting numerous venues. Don’t miss the Museu de Arte de São Paulo, home of the biggest collection of Western Art in Latin America.
You can find Sao Paulo hotels in the lively centre, but if you’re looking for a more relaxed atmosphere you should check out hotels in Sao Paulo's Jardins neighbourhood. Offering a laid back feel with bohemian bars and artisan shops, Vila Madalena is also a good alternative.

I live here, so I have to deal with this city's problems every day. Traffic is heavy, service is subpar (but better than anywhere else in the nation), and crime and drug use have engulfed the downtown area and its immediate surroundings. The city is pretty ugly. Nevertheless, if you want a place in Brazil that's serious and actually features things to do, São Paulo is it. Once in a blue moon, someone speaks English; there's actual infrastructure for tourists; you can eat properly in a consistent manner; and there's always (and I mean always) something to do at night.

São paulo is definitely a global city,it's not near the shore, but it has lots of attractions such as museums, libraries, parks, among other things. The metro system is awesome, but there are some places you should avoid going, especially at night.

The city is a nice place for those looking for a variety of restaurants. It is a very expensive place, with an awful traffic, reasonable public transportation (outside rush hours, please), and some interesting cultural activities. Although the city is deemed unsafe, in the more central/fancy areas, it is as safe any other big metropole. There are also very good shopping options.

Sao Paulo isn't the biggest tourist place to go in Brazil but it has lots to do and it's amazing! We felt safe at all times but of course, we took precautions such as keeping our valuables out of sight. But at no point, we felt in danger.

One of the best cities in the world, reminds NYC for its size, skylines and demographic complexity, but with a better public transportation, tropical weather, way cleaner then NY and Paris, warmer and more welcoming people then most places in the world, food is way better then most big international cities and all the restaurants are not overpriced, basically the life quality in S.Paulo is superior to the mainstream big capitals of the world and you can basically live better then a king without being a millionaire.

There is too many homeless people but do not harm.
There is too many homeless people but do not harm. This only makes the environment dirty and smelly. If you secure yourself, if you do bot put yourself in a bad situation like going alone in the late night to somewhere yo do not know, this ofc attracts danger.
Sao Paulo is very nice. I believe 3-4 days will be enough for the city.
I highly recommend Ibirapuera Park. You can spend your whole day away from the chaos. And I can recommend Sala Sao Paulo. You can watch concerts inside, and it quite cheap.
I stayed here for two nights on arriving in Brazil and before leaving for Manaus. The bed was not particularly comfortable, but the place was really great fun. It’s in a very good area, and the place itself is full of life and fun. Everyone has the opportunity to socialise as much as they wish, and the staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. It has a very positive vibe, and I cannot imagine a better place to stay in São Paulo!
Location is good I booked 10days I not check out bcoz they says rate long stay will be better, however, They check me out without telling me. charged me the same in fact I stay only 7 days, charge me 10 days, they sale my room to new customers, I find out the day i came back someone was in my room, they re check in with a new room and charged me again. It was not a good solution for customer service for 5 stars hotel.
Overall, a great hotel with generously sized and well-equipped rooms. Super comfortable bed, nice vistas across Sao Paulo's skyline. Fully quipped kitchenette, toiletries and great wifi. There's a small rooftop pool, gym and sauna to decompress. The breakfast buffet was exceptional, a mix of continental and local food. Staff was kind, helpful and pleasant to chat to. Would def. stay here again :-)
One of the best hotels we’ve stayed in São Paulo, lovely staff upon arrival, very helpful food recommendations. The room was really big, air conditioned, very clean and a really nice environment to stay in. The breakfast was tasty and room service/ snacks are available which is handy. Overall good experience, would highly recommend the hotel and would definitely stay here again!
Great upgraded hotel in a good location (walk distance to Mackenzie Uni and Veridiana pizzaria - one of the best in Sao Paulo).
The aircon need updating - too big for the room and too noisy.
The emergency light is annoying to sleep
Staff is great and unfortunately, you need to pay for parking.
Overall, a great experience.
The hotel is near Congonhas airport. Still, I had to take a taxi because the way to the hotel by foot requires crossing a footbridge carrying luggage, which is way too dangerous and unsafe (robbery risk) in a city like São Paulo. The room is basic but spacious and has the main things for an overnight stay.
The hotel is located very close to the Tiete Bus station.
It literally takes less than 5 minutes to reach the terminal, and there is no dangerous road crossing involved.
The breakfast was simple, yet it exceeded my expectations. I've been in higher category hotels (outside Brazil) and was served less.
This is a bordel :))) that brazil.people come and rent by hour and booking doean't know :)) it's just horror how they treat you, how thier reservation system.works
In fact, they don't even have a fron desk, ypu speqck trough a black window with a brazilian laxy who dowsn't understand english :)))
Great hotel for short business trips in Sao Paulo, great value for money. Very pleasant and professional staff.
Rooms are very clean, simple and everything is really organized.
Breakfast was really good and the staf was also really nice.
Well... location is at the top of the list I check for being at Ibis Budget Sao Paulo. There is a subway station right near the hotel. Other point is: with a 5 minutes walk you can achieve Avenida Paulista. Its name speaks by himself.
The staff, the cool looking youthful, fun entrance to the hotel.
The hotel has their own pizza joint right out front. The two employees at the pizza shop are great. The view of the city from my room in sao Paulo was breathtaking.
This is my third time staying at this hotel and I'll be back for sure. Location is great, rooms are great, well equipped and clean. The gym is also pretty good. It's the best cost-benefit hotel I stayed in Sao Paulo.
Good hotel for the price. Very convenient to the Pinacoteca Museum and Sala Sao Paulo. Just opposite Parque Jardim da Luz. Near Luz Station for metro and rail. Staff helpful and pleasant. Big bed in big room.
Great location. Jardins is the best place to be if you are looking for easy access to São Paulo’s main attractions & this hotel is perfectly located in that respect. Wifi was really good. Staff were nice too.
The breakfast was good. There is some charm in being in an old quarter of São Paulo which once was the best district in town for a hotel. The urban vistas in a high floor room are interesting.
Staff was really kind and attentive. Breakfast was very good. The room was spacious. But the best thing about this hotel is its location: it’s simply on the nicest area of Sao Paulo.
To be able to be in the same hotel as my conference.
Sao Paulo is a very crowded city and the traffic is just crazy, moving within the city sometimes takes too long.
