Guarulhos as a place is typical Brazilian town. Nothing special as a place to visit I guess it is convenient because of the proximity to the airport . Quite a few restaurants, two main shopping malls.

IF YOU ARE DISABLED, STAY AWAY FROM GRU BECAUSE THEY WILL NOT HELP YOU. I am 78 years old and wheelchair bound. The airport provides NO wheelchairs for disabled people. Only the airlines help you leave the aircraft or get to the next, but not until you get to the check-in counter. No one to help you in between. Couldn't move alone with my airline wheelchair and my 2 x 23kgs luggage pieces. I was desperate. I thought I was going to miss my flight. Between the airport's lack of services for the disabled and the hotel (within the terminal) no one wanted to assist me). They all kept saying that the airlines should handle my movements. All the places will not accept International Credit Cards (you need to pay cash only and in local Reals currency). I was at the mercy of another traveller that invited me a snack because I hadn't eaten in 14 hours. In the end the same airline lady that dropped me off at the hotel was the one that came to pick me up and took me from Terminal 2 to Terminal 3 (10 minutes). NEVER HAVE I FELT SO DESPERATE, HELPLESS, DISCRIMINATED AND ABANDONED. When I asked for help everyone kept telling me that "It was not their job to help cripple people", and that I shouldn't have travelled alone. Disgusting. Horrible. Nightmarish. Stuck with no help, no food, tired and afraid. NEVER AGAIN. SO FAR THE MOST UNFRIENDLY AIRPORT IN THE WORLD (I have travelled all over) even though it is a transport hub for the region. AVOID AVOID AVOID. God help you if you are disabled or have a problem.

Not a pleasant area but good for its location to the airport and the value it represents for short stays to catch flights. Other hotels closer to the airport are expensive yet Guarulhos offers a good range of hotels with better value for money.

Good attention and transfer to and from the Airport, The buffet for dinner was poor and low quality , staff was helpfull, room confortable, electrics and plugs not so good many of them didnt work or were visibly broken. Some of the staff need English language skills.

It's good if it's only for one night.
It's good if it's only for one night. They do have a restaurant but it is expensive. The shuttle service is handy. I didn't like that they used a cleaning product that smelled like a cheap product and was way too strong.

I had a 10 hour wait for my next Flight, I picked Panamby Guarulhos hotel because of it's Location 15 Mins for the Airport
The hotel has lovely Gardens font and back, Birds of Paridise everywhere, there is also a nice Pool in the back garden,
The File Steak Sandwich and a cold beer by the pool.

Well located and tye staff tries to be very helpful with the language barrier. I feel the hotel should invest in English speaking training for front office staff. It is a common language.
