Absolutely immaculate. Cosy and beautifully furnished. Little things like chocolates, fully stocked breakfast bar, towels neatly presented, beautifully made beds, umbrellas, were very thoughtful and made it very welcoming. Very safe and you could even drive your car into an undercover car spot with roller door. TV’s if you have time to watch them lol. BBQ if you want to cook. Amazing location on the esplanade. I could hear the waves at night. A real gem which I can see is looked after with pride.

We arrived late, and the manager had turned on the heating. Lovely to arrive to a warm room on a very cold day.

I am planning to go back as this time was just an overnight stay, which gave us not a lot of time to look around before we had to leave the next day. What we saw was beautiful and we look forward to returning.

Staying at the Nightcap Hotel Victor was within a short walking distance of the main street for Cafes, takeaway food and shops . A short distance to Granite Island Causeway which you can walk over to the Island or catch the Horse drawn tram which is a wonderful experience for young and old. The hotel is a short walking distance to the Museums and the train Station for the Tourist train to Goolwa and Back. Victor Harbor is a good base to drive and explore the close towns of Goolwa, Port Elliot and Middleton and also the Fleurieu peninsula.

Lovely town with gorgeous buildings.
Lovely town with gorgeous buildings. Easy to walk around lots of restaurants and cafes. I recommend going to the information centre in town, we found the staff super helpful. The scenery is beautiful, if you have a car there are plenty of lovely drives and small towns around Victor Harbor. We were there in April so recommend bring jackets and umbrellas. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We did the train to Goolwa, it was ok just disappointed the steam engine wasn’t running.
We had takeaway at Noodle Bento in the main shopping centre, delicious! Chicken Laksa and Mongolian Beef, thumbs up!
Nino’s for coffee and their egg and bacon rolls another thumbs up!

Victor Harbor is always a nice place to visit.
Victor Harbor is always a nice place to visit. We walked to Granite Island and around the main part of town. They had the Artisan markets plus the general Sunday markets which are always fun to visit .
Even though it was a long weekend the supermarkets were opened if you needed to purchase anything
Dinner at Nino's did not disappoint, beautiful food and great service

Local life pleasant and laid back, quiet during the week,...
Local life pleasant and laid back, quiet during the week, busy on weekends as tourists flock into the area.. local pubs and restaurants cater to all tastes and budgets. The location offers many activities for families and all ages.. beaches, fishing, hiking. Several coastal townships nearby - literally 5 minutes away to drive, with so much history to explore. Regular local markets and activities, fun runs, art displays in the park, walks across to Granite Island, and much more... all free - with a few boat rides and train rides and even camel rides at reasonable prices.
If you like the quiet atmosphere, skip school holidays.. but if you are OK with the friendly busy vibe.. plenty to enjoy for all.. sideshow rides and park stalls go up in busier times - ofcourse, the horse tram to the Island is a staple for all to enjoy.
A beautiful restored hotel facing the water. The long balcony offers their guest the best views in Victor Harbor.
We had a no contact check-in, which worked perfectly. Their instructions were clear and easy to follow.
Our budget room had a separate bathroom that was 20m from the room, which was fine. It was large and clean and had the best water pressure.
The room itself had a sink and fridge, a comfortable bed . We spent time sitting on the balcony having drinks watching the water.
Great location, handy to beach, shops, restaurants (easy walking distance). Plenty of supplied crockery, cutlery, kitchen utensils etc. and loads of coffee, tea, and other cooking requirements. Great little pod coffee maker. Excellent WiFi. Very comfortable bed with plenty of pillows, bedding etc. So nice to have a washing machine, which worked very well.
The location. We got Ocean breeze villa 5 which had the perfect ocean view and accessibility to stroll down to the beach. Sheryl, the reception staff was very friendly and sweet and had kindly changed the room assigned to us earlier on request.
The pipe activated by the flush in the toilet!

Front and bar staffs were friendly upon arrival. Front staff was very friendly and understanding as we checked in around 5pm due to work commitments. Room was tidy and the bed was extra comfy. It was close to the beach, attractions and granite island.
Room was clean with crispy clean linen, staff were very good and food offered in the dinning area was a little short in the Menu for Non Restaurant style food.(You know the every day food) But the Chicken Schnitty was great !!!
room was clean and well equiped. a very comfortable bed and pillows. The breakfast was good and reasonable value. staff were very good. the hotel was very clean and had a very good bistro however I was not excited with the menu
