Toowoomba is within easy reach of people from Brisbane or other parts of Southern Queensland looking a short break. The city is large enough to have the facilities and entertainment options for travellers, and small enough to get around easily. If you are travelling during one of the major events during the year, such as the Carnival of Flowers, it is essential to book accommodation in advance. I visited recently during the Toowoomba Marathon, which is a sizeable event but does not result in crowding. Public transport is available in Toowoomba, but has limited operating hours on some routes, so taking your own vehicle or a taxi can be necessary for some trips. Two attractions which are most appealing are the Cobb and Co Museum and, if you are going to the cinema, the historic Strand cinemas in the city centre.

My accomodation at the met hotel the place is not what it is advertising. In Toowoomba be aware you must have funds for parking.thete is no free parking on offer. Also be aware youth crime rate high do not keep valuables in full vision. Do not walk arround on your own of evening Toowoomba is a really good place for shopping and eateries. I would recommend the post office hotel or coffee club for a good coffee and egg Benny

Toowoomba is great.
Toowoomba is great. Smaller than the likes of Brisbane city, but bigger than the average country town. I'm a fan, we'll be back.
Toowoomba is very easy to navigate, being mostly laid out in a grid pattern. Easy to walk around the heart of the city for shopping and food.

It’s very diverse, lots of sightseeing, plenty of places to go and eat. The Asian gardens are at their best in spring and autumn as they are my favourite time of year.
Has some great places to go shopping. Once of the main road through town the side streets look pretty with all the jacaranda trees that have been growing for over a hundred plus years.
If you want to see them in full bloom then visit for the yearly flower festival held every spring.

Toowoomba is a great town.
Toowoomba is a great town.
I love the way that it has retained much of it's heritage and feel of being a big country town rather than a city.
Locals are friendly and helpful, streets are wide and parking is easy.
I will be back...
The staff was great. The receptionists were very helpful and answered all our questions.
We requested late check-in and management send us detailed text with room map and car spot and they were the only who allowed us in after 9pm as our plan changed to stay back in toowoomba for flower festival, they made way easy for us.
The room was clean and bright.
Morning breakfast with hot pancakes was another good service they have.
New management doing great job.
They are doing few changes in jacaranda motel.
Will be coming back! Thank you so much.
Location is perfect. Was pleasantly surprised by how modern and large the rooms are. Modern tapware, tv, microwave and fridge. Nice sofa, loads of wardrobe space. Beds are super comfy. Receptionist was very friendly and accommodating - allowing us to have an early check in as we were attending a wedding. More than enough parking available. I would definitely stay here again if I travelled to Toowoomba again. It exceeded my expectations and is better than most hotels I've stayed in. Highly recommend.
This was not a 5 Star hotel, nor did we expect it to be. However for the price and our needs it was very suitable. Clean, friendly room had what we needed. Other members of our family also stayed. We noticed that it was near full each night so that is telling you something. Having the basic breakfasts was good for us. Saved us time and money. Thank you.
Check-in was easy and the little contact we had with staff was pleasant. The room was a good size and very clean. The king bed was very comfortable. The hotel location is pretty good, being only a few minutes drive to Picnic Point or the CBD. There are some nice cafes nearby and a shopping centre / supermarket a few hundred meters down the street.
Everything from the moment we arrived to the moment we left was perfect. Staff were very friendly and accomodating to us arriving late on the night. The rooms were spacious and well facilitated. Everything was immaculately cleaned and we couldn't see a speck of dust. I highly recommend anyone looking for a stop over in Toowoomba stay here.
The staff member was very accommodating when I told her the highway was cut by flood waters, and I couldn't get home. The motel was able to provide another night stay. The room was really good. L
ocation was handy and not too far from Toowoomba CBD, the local supermarket, and restaurants.
I really liked the place and the amenities, it will be now my go to motel for future businesses in Toowoomba. Thank you and thumbs up for Jill for organizing the keys and room plus map though we checked in late night. Room 12 was the best spot.
This is the Motel to stay at. I have stayed all over Toowoomba and this is a gem. Lovely staff, the rooms were spotless and a great location. Also loved the Blue Mountain Hotel across the road, was very convenient. Will definitely be back.
The staff were absolutely amazing and such down to earth people. The rooms have such a home like feel to them and the beds are the most comfortable beds I’ve found around Toowoomba hotels. 10/10, we ended up booking an extra night.
Well positioned for our stay to visit family. Great restaurant in the hotel across the road. Easy to find. The room also had cooking facilities and a table and four chairs. Bed was comfortable. Parking right to the door.
The location was very easy to get to from the CBD, the facilities were neat and tidy. The beds were very comfortable and the hot water for the shower was great too. Highly recommend a stay here.
Check in was simple and contactless. The room was spacious and modern. The balcony spaces are large and welcoming. It is the best hotel I have stayed at in Toowoomba.
Lovely clean and spacious room well presented, suited us and above expectation for the cost in comparison to other motels we have used in the same area.
