Pure Chalet Thredbo, hotel in Thredbo

Pure Chalet Thredbo offers renovated bed & breakfast accommodation in the heart of Thredbo Village.

Great chalet. Comfy and clean rooms, new and modern bathroom. The common room was great, big fire, TV, access to plenty of food and drink. Having parking on site is fantastic. Only a short stroll to pubs and restaurants. Great breakfast in the morning and Fab and Skip were excellent hosts! Definitely return.

The view is always magnificant, just a shame there wasn't any snow this year! the overall vibe of the property is wonderful, we chose to stay here for the second year in a row because we enjoyed how 'european' and friendly the staff and patrons are!

Swagman Chalet, hotel in Thredbo

Providing mountain views, Swagman Chalet in Perisher Valley provides accommodation, a shared lounge, a restaurant, a bar and ski-to-door access. Free WiFi is provided throughout the property.

John and Silky were very accommodating and amended my booking on check-in due to ski-lifts not operating (due to no snow on opening weekend) and us cutting short our stay. The food was plenty, fresh and delicious and John went out of his way to be flexible in picking us up and dropping us off at the ski-tube. Both deliver excellent customer service, as does their waitstaff at meal-times. A friendly, clean and comfortable place to stay. I would recommend them to anyone wanting an enjoyable stay.

Thredbo for the opening weekend of the ski season is a an exicitng, social and scenic mountain get away. Although no skiable snow, which will fall later in June. Enjoy the Ice sculpture and artist at work on a mural for auction, open air DJ. Easy to walk everywhere, shops cafe, ride up the scenic chairlift and gondola. Or have a ride on the Coaster, roller coaster.

Lovely to attend the Blues festival for my annual visit (not a snow lover) and enjoy the Village in summer. Enjoyed the Gondola for my first time and loved the ride, and that there is a venue at the top to eat or drink or listen to music.. If planning to eat out do take plentyof $$$ss as no cheaper options ecept the bakery and cafe on the Village square..

Thredbo is a great base for physical adventures.

Thredbo is a great base for physical adventures. However, it's very expensive. It stuns me that a golf course takes up so much of the small amount of space available, which limits accommodation and keeps prices high. Who goes to Thredbo to play golf?!

Closest ski field from Canberra. Easy to drive to.

Closest ski field from Canberra. Easy to drive to. Great for children. Snow was not great this season unfortunately, lift pass at $200/day is a bit pricey, lessons for adults were also high - used to be much cheaper pre-covid for lift and lesson. Ski school instructors, most were pretty good with kids - pleased with that.

Skiing in Australia will also be a bit of a risk.

Skiing in Australia will also be a bit of a risk. Massively expensive for potentially poor snow coverage. Thredbo had such limited accessibility on one of our days everyone getting down the run then had to take off their ski/snowboard to hike through mud to the only available chairlift from main hub. Enormous queue. Saw people arrive and just turn around. There are limited options to get out of front valley when the wind shuts down the the chairlifts. This was end of July - peak season. I recommend Perisher over Thredbo in terms of reliable access to snow.

Thredbo is easy to get too, and the drive there from either direction (especially from Khancoban) is Fantastic. There is a lot of chair rides, and a Gondala ride, if you want to just go for sight seeing, and the Board Walk on the top of the mountain is a "must-do" in the out of season times. Thredbo is probably one of the best locations for mountain bike riding.

We visited this "ski" lodge in summer. The entire area is a "V" with the one side the road and parking for this stay, the bottom is the ski lift / commercial district, and the right side the top of the mountain. Easy to get your bags to the lodge. Many steps down to town and if you climb the moutain the walk back up the steps is strenuous. The host is wonderful and cooks a tasty, filling breakfast. We enjoyed the other couples in sharing stories from around the world.

The room was awesome, very clean and warm. Bathroom/toilet was also clean and excellent. I've never seen snow in my life, mind you been in Aust for 34 years! So I begged my husband to make it to Thredbo this year. God was so good to me, cause it snowed heavily the day we arrived...lol I was oh soooo excited, true story! Breakfast and the surroundings were fantastic and I cannot thank you guys enough. Our stay at your hotel was the bomb! LOVED IT!!

What an incredible experience! If you're looking for a place to stay that offers the feeling of home look no further. From the moment we arrived we were treated as though we arrived at a family members home. The most hospitable, friendly and caring accommodation we've had the pleasure of staying at yet. All staff, room, absolutely everything was exceptional and will only be staying here when we return to Thredbo. Thank you for making us feel so welcome

The managers are just the loveliest couple, such a perfect fit as people for the village of Thredbo. Their service and friendliness was as good as you get anywhere. When I asked to have my shower curtain washed, and it was not problem at all. The views were great, continental breakfast was very nice, the lounge area and deck were good. Just positive relaxed vibes all around.

This hotel is right in the heart of Thredbo, it takes only couple of minutes to walk to the chair lift and gondola. The dry room set up is awesome, the boots and skis can be locked into a cage and rack, very high security. The pub has a real fire place and beers and drinks are in a reasonable price.
