As somebody who frequents Melbourne, Sydney is much different! I did not spend enough time here to get a grasp of location or tourist hotspots, but I'm eager to come back and keep exploring! I do love that as you drive in, you are surrounded by gumtrees. Gives it less of a city vibe.

This review is for 4 nights in SYD.

This review is for 4 nights in SYD. We loved the ferry rides to the different parts of Sydney. Because e basically explored Sydney on foot, only 2 locations a day. Circular Quay, Darling Harbour, Manly, Harbour Bridge, visited a friend in one of the suburbs, Chinatown, Watsons Bay. Of course the Opera House. Museums Sydney is expensive (comparable to Singapore except without the hawker fare @ hawker centre prices). We cooked our dinner most the time. Roo steak medium, gelato, dim sum were superb The hilly terrain makes walking a little stretched for the seniors in the group. If possible, get accommodation in the CDB. Cafe hopping is a must but can be quite expensive. The flat whites are great!

I liked the excellent hotel views food staff. I wouldn't visit Vivid on the long weekend again if there was a new attraction to see as the amount of people 0n Saturday 8th June was ridiculous first night of Drone show. But I generally enjoy Sydney and Vivid when I do visit. love Sydney. Love the Harbour and bridge and Opera House.

It was just a short stay, especially to see VIVID, which was fantastic. We included a night harbour cruise, an excellent way to see this beautiful harbour city. You can walk the harbour foreshore from Darling Harbour (Maritime Museum) right around past Barangaroo, The Rocks (historic area), Circular Quay, Opera House and the Botanic Gardens. Didn't have enough time to see Barangaroo, but will do that next time. We stayed at Haymarket, where there are loads of restaurants, cafes, bars. Light rail, buses and trains make it easy to get around, or you can walk if you are more energetic. Take a ferry from Circular Quay to the excellent Taronga Zoo. So many great things to do in Sydney

Great location in Sydney city center. Short walk to Central train station (well connected to airport), right next to several tram lines, and next to Chinatown. About 10 minutes on the tram to get to Circular Quay, Sydney Opera House, and all the sights. The hotel itself was somewhat dated but it was clean, affordable, and the staff were friendly and kind. The downstairs bar was also pretty nice with reasonable prices. Overall for the price point and location this would be hard to beat for a solo traveler. Definitely recommend.

Situated close to Chinatown was absolutely perfect for a short walk to Paddy's Market, Central Railway Station & the Light Rail to give access to the Airport, Trains & Circular Quay with Ferries on Sydney Harbour to enjoy Taronga Zoo, Manly & a host of other destinations. The cleanliness of Maze was outstanding, due to the efforts of both Management & certainly the guests. Awesome.! Oh, and Maloney's Hotel only 50 metres walk away, is a "must" to visit. Trust me lol

We were just in Sydney for one night, flying out the next day. So we found a hotel close to the airport. The proximity to the airport was the primary factor in deciding to stay there. We didn't make use of any of the onsite facilities so I can't give any ratings about them. The bed was very comfy and the main part of the room was a good size. Room was very clean as well.

Location right near domestic airport is reason we use it. Have done so several times & will do so again. It has a fast & reliable airport SHUTTLE, the reason why I selected this hotel originally. Having a good shuttle is my number one NEED, especially in these times of RAIL STRIKES & Taxis getting harder to locate at Central & UBERS even harder to contact .
