We had some personal problems in the evening causing us to be late to check in, despite my repeated communication with the owner and me explaining my situation and giving repeated apologies the owner felt it necessary to add to our stress by continually texting me stating that we where not welcome if we where going to be more than 15 minutes. We eventually made it there where we where taken to a room where there was effectively just a bed and asked not to shower till the next morning Some 20 mins after arriving my partner and I received a knock at the door it was the owner asking us to keep the noise down we where both shocked at this as we where only sitting on the bed chatting about plans for the next day.

Checking in was straight forward. But the room that we were allocated was either occupied or it wasn’t clean. It was an easy fix. We were upgraded to a bigger n better room with a double bed and single bed. So considering what we paid for the night.($109) it was worth it!

This is our regular base when in Sydney to visit family. I like that we can turn up late, go to our room, leave the next morning and not interact with any one. We’ve rarely seen or heard other guests and feels like we have the place to ourselves, even though it’s fully booked out.

For a room above a Pub, it was fantastic actually, like to the point where I usually stay at the Mantra and would prefer to stay here again.

Riverwood is so convenient with shops close by including fruit and vegetable markets, Woolworths supermarket, and restaurants with different cuisine close to the train station. The weather doesn't get too hot (it doesn't reach 40 degrees). It is really easy to get around Riverwood.

Was my first time in Riverwood, absolutely love the area, very convenient access to everything, shops, bars,restaurants, train station, markets, shopping plaza. Just what you want when your on vacation. Will definitely be going back to visit.
