For a pub hotel, it was great. Staff were very friendly and check in was easy. Shared bathroom but the facilities were outstanding, with a very large set of character bathrooms and very large showers. Pub had a very busy and popular restaurant which was handy to use and the pub itself is awesome.

While sometimes it's hard to find a cafe that is open after 2 - i was lucky enough to find two great eateries close to my hotel in Newcastle Beach. Scottie's and Sticky Rice Thai! I can highly recommend both. Scottie's for it's delicious and fancy seafood options while still sitting outside on seats that make it less pretentious. And Sticky Rice Thai for it's delicious thai options.

Newcastle has a lot to offer ... beaches, history, hiking, dining. We grew up in the area and love the ferry ride from Stockton to the main part of Newcastle. Stockton breakwall is a great stroll with interesting historic plaques outlining the shipwreck history.
Located conveniently in the CBD of Newcastle, this modern hotel has all your needs. Good size rooms that are well appointed and comfortable. Car parking on site is a bonus. Comfortable bed and huge TV. All in all met my needs.
Really beautiful renovated little units were a great and affordable place to stay in our journey up NSW. Beds were super comfortable, and the units had everything we needed. Late check in was a breeze too.
Location was great, undercover parking really appreciated. Great pool but sadly did not get an opportunity to use it. We did not eat at the hotel so cannot rate
