Location was great. The property was within a 10 min drive to a whole bunch of wineries and eateries.
The instructions left by the host for key collection was very clear.
We were impressed by the room size and the Vasse Virgin products provided.
Heater was already on upon arrival on a fairly chilly day which was welcome.
The produce provided for breakfast was very generous and of very good quality; we particularly enjoyed the port provided.

Perfectly situated, you can walk everywhere in the main part of town. Beautifully renovated rooms and really friendly staff! The private entrance to the hotel rooms separates you from the rest of the pub, you won’t hear a peep even on Saturday night.
Lovely place to stay and explore the area. We were there specifically to visit Maggie Beer Farm shop, it was a birthday gift to me. An amazingly beautiful serene place to visit. Went to the local pub for a meal, excellent food and very large serves.

Lyndoch is a great little town with lots to see and do. A trip to the tourist information centre is a must before you begin.
The staff at the place I was staying, were most helpful and informative. They were able to assist in providing information about special deals at places to see while I was visiting. Two for one lunch meals, drink specials, days tours of wineries and the list goes on. Helped me to save so I could do and see more.
Lyndoch is a great place and I highly recommend to stay when touring the Barossa of South Australia.

The hotel was clean and while it wasn’t luxurious, it had everything one needs for overnight stays. We only had to walk a dozen steps to get into the dining room/bar. Nice and quiet and good value for money

This property is almost impossible to be found when you arrive late at night in the pitch dark. The signs are dark and are unable to be seen from the road. The accommodation was unclean and looked nothing like the advertised pictures.
We would not suggest this property to anyone.

We liked that we could have meals onsite.
We liked that we could have meals onsite. It is quite and close to all of the Barrosa. The pool was lovely but not suitable for older people who have leg problems. It was very hard to climb out. Overall very nice it was my second visit.

The Merlot House is a modern country home with all the facilities you would expect in a functioning home, Nearby is an excellent restaurant. Great food and great staff. Very enjoyable stay amongst the woodland birds and vineyards. Lyndoch, a small country town in South Australia's Barossa Valley is just a 3 minute drive away. The Barossa is the home of wines of worldwide acclaim. Overall, an excellent stay and I will be staying again at the wonderful prices.
The house was amazing, huge and really beautiful. Each of the bedrooms was private with own ensuite, very comfortable beds, warm quilts. The location was gorgeous, very quiet except for the frogs in the pond which was lovely. A couple of the bedrooms incorporated their own lounge area. Excellent communication from the owner.
We particularly liked the library and assortment of interesting books.
Very close to Lyndoch township and the Green (5minutes)
very nice and comfortable cottage in Lyndoch. The decoration is so detailed and cozy that you don't want to leave the place! the kitchen is super well equipped, the bed very comfortable, the fireplace just adds even more coziness to the place, and the mega bonus is the jacuzzi, just awesome to wind down at home. There is plenty of space outdoors to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee or a glass of wine in the sun.
perfect spot as we where meeting people at Lord Lyndoch for dinner and didn't want to pay a lot for 1 night sleep, but the bed was amazing so comfy. the cleaner let us into the room to store some groceries in the fridge, thanks for that prior to the room being ready.. nice big shower area and the aircon was great as it was cold in the night.. A great spot at last minute look for accommodation.
We booked this as part of our trip to South Australia for our wedding anniversary.
Very high quality accommodation with everything we needed to help us celebrate.
Complimentary inclusions including materials for continental and/or cooked breakfast and snacks. Plus a bottle of wine!
Fantastic hosts who helped with advice for sightseeing and restaurants.
The cottage is set in a scenery like no other, surrounded by vineyards with a great view of the distant hills. What goes unmentioned is the astonishing night sky due to the little to no light pollution in the area.
Everything included in the breakfast was also to mention, great range with even better flavours.
Great place for a little getaway.
Great location - gateway to Barossa.
Very friendly staff
Lovely well appointed & equipped room albeit a little dated.
Safe and secure. Ample parking.
Very quiet for a hotel/ country pub!
Great bakery, cafes and gift shop in Main Street. Stone’s throw from Kies Winery which is gorgeous.
Only takes up to 60 minutes from CBD.
This is a working farm in a rural location. Conversion of a dairy and chaff shed into very comfortable accommodation. Exceptional array of provisions left for breakfast and snacking - many products from the farm itself. Warm welcome from staff, farm dogs, chickens & turkeys. A very relaxing atmosphere.
The peace and quiet of country living was exactly what we needed. The beautiful tree to sit under and watch the sun go down is a must experience. The cottage had everything one would need. Plus close to our favorite place to eat... The Lord Lyndoch. Highly recommend this cute little cottage
Amazing breakfast spread! Thank you! The cottage was really charming, and the fireplace a dream. Bathroom exquisite, and bedroom too of course. All in all, a great stay, with a fantastic location, within easy drive of most Barossa Valley sights.
Excellent location with everything close to hand. Lovely and quiet setting, though not if you don't like the dawn chorus! Would happily stay here again when visiting Lyndoch. No wifi at the property meant we could just relax and unwind.
Location in Lyndoch was great. It’s a nice little town and the locals were friendly. I enjoyed a walk to the shops. The washing machine at the cottage was a huge bonus. The check-in arrangements worked well. Plenty of hot water.
The grounds of the hotel are breathtaking. The local pub was an excellent choice for dinner. And breakfast in the resturant was exceptional. Most friendly and helpful staff as well. Will definately be staying there again.
We liked that it lacked very little for basic accommodation included cereal breakfast packets, milk in fridge and was extremely clean. Staff were very helpful and not far to walk for a meal or drink!
It’s location for us as a family was perfect. Our son played sport in Lyndoch and we took the opportunity to explore local wineries and points of interest.
