Nothing really good about it except for one lovely staff member, she removed the used needle from the toilet

This is a budget motel.
Location - close to a lot of things.
Space for both room and toilet - we had enough room for the three of us
Facilities - microwave, fridge, wall mounted TV that you can adjust the angle, cabinetry, kettle, coffee-tea-sugar sachets, towels, efficient heating.
Parking - plenty of spaces available.
Cleanliness - our room appeared old and dated but it was reasonably tidy. The bins were collected everyday.
Just 1 km from Katoomba Railway Station, Blue Mountains Highway Motel offers air-conditioned rooms with a microwave and a TV. Free parking is available on site.

The weather wasn't the best ,when it's raining and foggy you couldn't see the beauty of the scenery, so you then go shopping. All the little shops are quaint and the fashion shops very good quality and very different . Lots of small cafes with excellent food and coffee. In the winter season always stay at a place that has open fire places.

We did a lot of hiking in national park forest and it was raining everyday but that didn't discourage us. You just feel like continuing to the next attraction and the next and the next.......before you know it you are deep in the forest. I loved it! Loved!! God willing i am going back.

Katoomba main street is still struggling after covid with quite a few empty shop fronts however mother nature and her spectacular views make up for this. Scenic World as the main draw is always worth the trip and Nocturnal event is a new way to experience the Valley. Of course Echo Point and 3 sisters are a must as is Govetts Leap lookout. So many pretty towns around like Leura and if you have time take a little side teip to Lithgow. Highly recommend this trip. Parking is an issue around the town centre and usual tourist attractions but worth dealing with anyway.

Direct train from Sydney.
Direct train from Sydney. Very quaint traditional old mining town, old fashioned 'high street' with plenty of places to stay and eat. We stayed in the grand Carrington Hotel which has a lot of history as part of the evolution of the town. Our main reason for visiting was to easily access the Katoomba based hop-on/off bus to visit The Blue Mountains. This worked perfectly and as well as seeing Katoomba and the blue Mountains, we also got to visit the pretty neighbouring village of Leura which is included in the route. We felt we made a very good choice.

Katoomba has everything you will need or find in a regional town. The large supermarkets are available and open for longer hours for groceries (Aldi, Coles, Woolworths). The shops and restaurants close early, so check times and organise around that. There are limited number of restaurants and eateries in town. We ate at Rustico - this place is almost always full (even on weekdays) - best book ahead. We had one sunny day out of 3 days. Luckily that was enough to visit Scenic World, do the rides and walk around. We recommend taking the Blue Mountains Explorer Bus (hop-on hop-off) to minimise driving. There are many easy to medium walks along the clifftops.
Excellent Location, ease of access to the main town of Katoomba and ECHO POINT, the tree sisters viewing vista
You could not ask for a better location in regards to the main tourist attraction and experience in the Blue Mountains
The Showers were the Best and Tv had some Smart features included, all the 21st century touches you want. stayed with family, room Has a fridge Tea coffee and glasses for our champagne drink *(staying for a birthday celebration with family from overseas in Ireland
No, breakfast was offered as part of the package. We found an alternative location to eat at that certainly have a lot higher quality. Given a room with the terrible view when the hotel wasn’t even nearly full. It’s so very disappointed with the lack of customer service in that regard, unless you’d like looking at old air conditioning units in a roof. When you have Mountain View rooms that didn’t have people staying in them.
A beautiful old hotel with very friendly staff.
We travelled as a group of three adults for a two night stay in Katoomba.
The hotel was perfect for our needs with a beautiful large lounge for us to relax with our own drinks and snacks and a lovely fresh continental breakfast included in the room price.
The location was close enough for us to walk into Katoomba centre and also a 15 minute walk to Scenic World
Nice and very quiet location. I have made a feedback after my last stay in the review. That is instead of the bulky massage chair inside the room, a set of table and chairs is better. This time I had the same room with a table & chairs. That makes the room more spacious indeed and nice. Thanks for taking up the suggestion. I would love to go back and stay again if I visit Katoomba in the future.
this cottage has a history. I liked the design and style.
continental breakfast was provided. As I arrived late, the reception was still open and welcomed very well. I stayed for a night and left in the morning. All facilities were provided. the hotel staff helped us to use the kitchen to have dinner for senior citizens. milk, biscuits, & sugar were provided. its a good value for money.
Beautiful hotel that maintains the era in which it was built. The lobby is full of overstuffed chairs and couches for lounging. The staff were very pleasant and efficient. Our room was very comfortable. The breakfast had a good variety of foods and the staff member who was in attendance was lovely.
Fantastic old style hotel on main street (katoomba st). A bit walk from station specially because there's a hill, but I did it easy because I am used to walk.
Near Bus to take to three sisters. And scenic world. About 30 min walk...
The staff is super kind. Top!
Great parking for those who bring car
1 min walk to the train station. No traffic noise in inner-facing room. Blanket and heating were adequate. Generous coffee and tea refills. Beautiful library, game room and fireplace. The original pictures in the library. I love how the character of the hotel was maintained. Wifi was reliable.
I appreciated that my room was accessible after office hours. Everything was clean and the beds were comfortable. The hotel is located near Echo Point, where the Three Sisters are and it is a short drive to the Katoomba shops.
Nice refurbished rooms. Good feel to the hotel and pub downstairs. Not too noisy (could hear music through floor but barely). Staff super friendly. Good location for walking into Katoomba (3 sisters about 45mins walk away).
The location is fantastic, close to the lookouts and waterfalls. We loved the hotel's charm: the relaxing atmosphere and surroundings. The staff were efficient and professional in their assistance.
The room was big and the bed was really nice
and comfortable. The vintage design of the hotel and room gave it a cosy feel. We’ll choose to stay there again if we return to Katoomba.
We have an amazing experience to stay in Blue Mountain Carrington Hotel. The staff are very nice and help. We are very happy with our experience staying in such a wonderful hotel.
The location is close to Katoomba Train Station only 5 min walk, many restaurants nearby and Coles. The room is clean, the bed is comfortable. The staffs are nice and helpful.
Breakfast was not possible in hotel because diningroom in renovation. The receptionist was very friendly and advise us a good italian restaurant in Katoomba.
Lovely 1900s style hotel with exceptional views of the valley beyond. Friendly, helpful staff. Central location to both Katoomba and Leura. Great breakfast!
