My room was great. Views from room amazing. Room warm and very comfortable. Breakfast good and serving staff very pleasant. Dinner very tasty but serves were a little too big for us. Good selection of wines. Predinner drinks by the fire were lovely.
Staff all very pleasant, helpful and cheerful which makes for a very pleasant stay.

I was in a 4 beds room. It's huge so didn't feel like I was in other people's area. Very clean room, oversized locker, clean showers and toilets. Heated room. Sheets and blankets are provided. Large kitchen and living area with lots of places to sit. Well done YHA. I will stay there again.

Katoomba town was a bit disappointing. I haven’t been for a few years and found it very run down and a bit depressing. The shops near an upgrade and so do a lot of the building.
I thought parking costs a bit excessive.
Of course the Three sisters area and scenic world area are still very impressive.

The weather wasn't the best ,when it's raining and foggy you couldn't see the beauty of the scenery, so you then go shopping. All the little shops are quaint and the fashion shops very good quality and very different . Lots of small cafes with excellent food and coffee. In the winter season always stay at a place that has open fire places.

We did a lot of hiking in national park forest and it was raining everyday but that didn't discourage us. You just feel like continuing to the next attraction and the next and the next.......before you know it you are deep in the forest. I loved it! Loved!! God willing i am going back.

Katoomba main street is still struggling after covid with quite a few empty shop fronts however mother nature and her spectacular views make up for this. Scenic World as the main draw is always worth the trip and Nocturnal event is a new way to experience the Valley. Of course Echo Point and 3 sisters are a must as is Govetts Leap lookout. So many pretty towns around like Leura and if you have time take a little side teip to Lithgow. Highly recommend this trip. Parking is an issue around the town centre and usual tourist attractions but worth dealing with anyway.

Direct train from Sydney.
Direct train from Sydney. Very quaint traditional old mining town, old fashioned 'high street' with plenty of places to stay and eat. We stayed in the grand Carrington Hotel which has a lot of history as part of the evolution of the town. Our main reason for visiting was to easily access the Katoomba based hop-on/off bus to visit The Blue Mountains. This worked perfectly and as well as seeing Katoomba and the blue Mountains, we also got to visit the pretty neighbouring village of Leura which is included in the route. We felt we made a very good choice.
Excellent Location, ease of access to the main town of Katoomba and ECHO POINT, the tree sisters viewing vista
You could not ask for a better location in regards to the main tourist attraction and experience in the Blue Mountains
The Showers were the Best and Tv had some Smart features included, all the 21st century touches you want. stayed with family, room Has a fridge Tea coffee and glasses for our champagne drink *(staying for a birthday celebration with family from overseas in Ireland
Gorgeous property! We had the whole cottage. It was well equipped and most comfortable. Check in was a breeze, the beds were comfy. There were enough heaters to keep the place warm and comfy. Kitchen was well equipped. Woke up to the most beautiful sunrise streaming through the living room windows! It was the BEST stay in our two weeks traveling around Sydney, Wollongong, Berry and Katoomba. A strong recommend if you're traveling in a group or as a family.
The hotel is in a good location close to the town center and shops and restaurants. The room was clean and comfortable and had a fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. We booked the breakfast and it was good value at A$15 each. It is a buffet breakfast so you can have what you want and there was a good selection of hot and cold items. We enjoyed our stay here.
Wonderful ambient historic hotel. Friendly, helpful and polite staff; clean and comfortable room and free continental breakfast. Dinner nearby at the Katoomba RSL (right across the road and a de ent selection of vegan/vegetarian options) and a pleasant 2km amble to Leura shops.
Our stay here exceeded our expectations. While the hotel looked a bit dated on the outside, the interiors were well kept and very clean. Our room was spacious and had a renovated bathroom. We had everything we needed for our family and we would definitely come back. Thank you!
This place is hidden treasure .. lovely old heritage hotel with a very cosy character at a very affordable price .I loved the decor of this place with amazing paper walls and old sofas and tables .It is very lovely place with the breakfast and friendly staff .
Hotel staff are nothing short of amazing. Friendly, helpfull, respectful, and they treat their guests like family, and they do it naturly not because they are following a protocol. I loved the hotel because of the people running it.
Room was lovely and clean, towels, sheets, beds all beautifully attired. Bathroom fresh and clean - fully stocked tea/coffee facilities. 5 stars for cleanliness. Motel in great location close to walks and cliff top vistas...
Carrington Hotel was beautiful. Old worldly music as you entered the property. The history behind the building was amazing and the Hotel had an old worldly charm. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The room was big and the bed was really nice
and comfortable. The vintage design of the hotel and room gave it a cosy feel. We’ll choose to stay there again if we return to Katoomba.
Lovely 1900s style hotel with exceptional views of the valley beyond. Friendly, helpful staff. Central location to both Katoomba and Leura. Great breakfast!
