We went to Discovery Park Jindabyne this year and last year. Last year we stayed in a deluxe 2 bedroom cabin. This year the same type of cabin was booked out and we had to stay in a 1 bedroom studio cabin. What I like is its value for money compared to other accommodations in the area.

Location is the best. Right on the lake where you can relax and enjoy serene views. All the restaurants, shops, petrol pumps, snowy region visitor information centre is near by. Rooms are descent. We opted for family room which has direct access to the lake.
Parking space is congested and parking slots are not allocate. You have to park wherever there’s a space.
Overall - it is recommended to the travelers.

Good spot to stay close if you are planning to go to the snow mountains. (30min approx to Thredbo) Please book in advance and do not pay overpriced rates for basic accommodations. Some hotels take advantage of the high season, which is not worth it if the service or facilities are not in good condition.
The town has everything you need: restaurants, hotels, Woolworths, ski shops, rentals, etc., for your ski or snowboarding days in the mountains.

Close to the snow. Good range of restaurants. Lots of snow shops all with discounts. Great fishing. Kosciusko beer on tap is almost as good as the beer at Jindabyne Brewing. New find for us was Wild Brumby distillery, well worth a visit for free tastings and good food

Jindabyne is a beautiful and quiet country town.
Jindabyne is a beautiful and quiet country town. It is the best place for accessing a number of snowfields as both Perisher valley and Thredbo are just 30 minutes away. Township and the roads are designed to give the maximum views on the lake from almost everywhere. We were not successful at fishing but the time spent at the lake did not disappoint us at all.

There are so many activities to experience during a Jiindabyne summer. Hiking is boundless, mountain biking is breath-taking, there are multiple craft breweries to visit and so many swimming spots along the lakefront. Hiring kayaks and fishing equipment is also possible but we ran out of time!!

I recommend staying at Jindabyne for the summer and winter seasons. The drive to Thredbo is a quick drive. The roads are cleared in snow season, we didn’t need to use the chains. Parking is easy and there’s free busses to the ski lifts. No need to stay in Thredbo. Jindabyne is much cheaper and has restaurants and the supermarket. I would never stay in Thredbo again. The supermarket is tiny and expensive in Thredbo. We stayed on the lake in a cabin which was perfect. We go for mountain biking in the summer and snowboarding in winter.
Location is central to everything in Jindabyne and a good base for snow activities, shopping, visitors centre, movies, dining etc. The foyer area with the fire is a great place to relax with a book and Joshua at reception was always friendly. Beds were comfortable and our loft room was nicely set out, if a little dated. The shower was lovely and warm, perfect after a day in the snow, and the central heating kept the room a comfortable temperature.
A wonderful place with lovely owners. They made us feel like family.
The hotel has incredible views of the valley and Jindabyne lake. The moon rising behind the trees while enjoying the warmth of the fire in the park...
The large main room also with its fireplace and comfortable armchairs to taste a good wine...
Natalie, the owner, is also a very good cook, we enjoyed a lot her food.
All rooms have views over Lake Jindabyne. Whilst they are not big our rooms had king beds and they were very comfortable. The motel is part of a larger complex and has a full service hotel with a restaurant/bistro and bar area.
Location was a bit far from the centre of Jindabyne so we had to drive into town for dinner. Cooking facilities were provided and we used them for breakfast and one dinner. The electric cooktop was slow but functional.
