The room was clean and tidy but dilapidated. These rooms badly need renovation and/or satisfactory repair.
The TV is pay only and not free to air.
The Beach Motel Hervey Bay is situated in tropical gardens directly across from Shelly Beach. The motel offers simple, value accommodation and is a great starting point for Fraser Island.

A lovely flat place, where you can walk or bike ride till your heart is content. We are in our 70's and we bike ride all around doing up to 20k's in a day. Stopping for breakfast or lunch or just at the beach. It has great shopping centres with every shop you need. So many places to eat, all sorts. We enjoy the RSL for an evenings entertainment and a good meal. We use our bikes or car. I cant comment on the public transport. There is always buses on the road though.

A perfect, unspoiled beach location.
A perfect, unspoiled beach location. The beach is safe and perfect for swimming, with sandbars and fishing. There’s a lovely old pier for strolling on.
Nice cafes that are affordable. The people are friendly and relaxed. Great fish and chip shops dotted about, excellent fresh fish.
The Bayswater Bar near the Pier has happy hour cocktails 3-5pm and really good $10 pizzas weekdays 2-4.30pm. It’s the best place to spend an afternoon overlooking the water.
The waterfront has an endless promenade, with picnic facilities dotted along it. Great off leash areas for dogs. Don’t forget to greet the locals as you pass by.

The whole Great Sandy Strait is utterly superb.
The whole Great Sandy Strait is utterly superb. Great restaurants everywhere along the Esplanade. Need to plant lunch well, as disappoint most cafes close by 1.3opm to 2pm...so hard to get a late lunch.

Nice for a short holiday.
Nice for a short holiday. Whale watching is excellent and so is a trip to K'gari. A stroll along the long pier is worth the effort. Beautiful views. The weather is lovely in Autumn but a bit humid in Summer. It is easy to drive around Hervey Bay even when there are a lot of tourist. There are a lot of choices when looking for a place to eat.

We stayed in Hervey Bay for two weeks this time for the first time. Unfortunately we could only get a week in each of two places. We have made the trip to Hervey Bay many times and stayed in different types of accommodations from Motels, a house and now resorts. Have driven from one end to the other many times and I love it all. I Have loved staying at the Mantra the best as it has a lot of conveniences in walking distance and the shopping center is not far, by car, if you want to dine in your unit. We did drive to the other end to the RSL for the special deal meal nights. The staff have been wonderful in all places we have visited.
The rented villa/unit was beautiful and so spacious. Additional living space upstairs. 2 massive bathrooms upstairs and extra toilet downstairs. Secured car park for 1 vehicle. Very clean and modern. Private yard space out the back. Very well priced, beyond value for money. Reception staff very kind, gave some brochures and recommendations for activities and restaurants. Overall an extremely positive stay and would 100% stay again if visiting Hervey Bay in the future, and will recommend to friends and family.
The facility is on acreage with kangaroos and plenty of wildlife and a very interesting couple equiped with all the information you require for the area. They also have pool😀
Breakfast was a simple with hot and cold beverages, local fruits and yogurts, toast and jams as well as a very interesting native plum jam😋.
Easy to find and 10 minutes from town and activities.
All in all we would return if heading to Hervey Bay again.
Location was excellent, on the Esplanade at Hervey Bay with an outlook to the bay, with a top class cafe on one side and a large resort hotel, bars and restaurant on the other. An easy walk to other shops and the famous Urangan pier. Room was very spacious and well laid out. Everything was spotless on arrival. Reception staff were friendly and helpful and resolved an issue with the Foxtel box and TV reception.
Amazing staff that went above and beyond. Adam was particularly wonderful at helping sort an issue to accomodate my elderly grandmother. He was friendly and such an asset for the hotel. Another wonderful staff member also helped us on Sunday at the concierge. Beautiful staff, with everyone being exceptional at their role. I have never had such amazing service in my travels elsewhere. Well done Ramada.
There are lots of activities for the whole family, the horse riding is superb!
The staff are extremely welcoming and friendly.
It’s a great place to relax while the kids play on the trampoline, tennis court, pool, bike track, cinema room, table tennis and of course the horse riding (For all abilities).
Good location too, close to Hervey Bay for the beach and Whale Watching.
545 Esplanade cottages are in a great location straight across from the beach, with access to the walking tracks along the beautiful Hervey Bay foreshore. The cottages are well equipped with everything you could possibly want, thanks to a host who has an eye for detail and obviously cares about her clientele.
Great location if Marine access is a primary reason to visit. There is also easy access to foot & bike paths. Lovely pool.
Bedroom was very dark, which was excellent for sleeping. The apartments was a good size (one bedroom) and had a washing machine and clothes horse.
We had a fantastic stay at Shelly Bay Resort. The team went above and beyond to accomodate us and the room itself was great. Perfect location to explore Hervey Bay, with plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby. Plus you are opposite the beach! Highly recommended.
great location, lovely staff, beautiful rooms and cleanliness. felt very homey and it was perfect for our family having the fenced courtyard area and close location to everything. we will be recommending this place for anyone visiting Hervey Bay.
The room was well maintained and prepared in hygienic conditions. The staff are thoughtful about their guests. It can be seen that the owner has put effort in running his business. We will come back next time when we visit hervey bay again
A comfortable space with Bali vibe from decor. Very comfortable bed and the recliner lounge. Good parking and ease of access. Close to cafes and the hotel...good meals. We would likely stay here again if in Hervey Bay.
The room was nice, plenty of room. Location was great, walking distance to a lot of restaurants & boat club. The resorts 2 swimming pools were great. Would recommend the resort to those going to Hervey Bay.
Everything, Peter and Susan were amazing and their house was so welcoming!
Would literally recommend this to anyone staying in Hervey Bay that likes a home-like hotel/motel and enjoys the company.
Location great, restaurant next door fantastic. Hot tub courtyard access directly to esplanade and beach without having to go through hotel. 100 percent non smoking hotel.
Absolutely everything.
Was the best hotel experience I have ever experienced in my extensive hotel stay history.
I want to only stay here whenever I come to Hervey Bay.
