Very friendly staff, flexible and helpful at all times. We had the half board and the food was very good, chefs kiss! The rooms were new, bathroom felt very new and we like the added radio in the bathroom. Overall was a great stay and we really want to say thank you again to the staff and owner for being so welcoming!

I lived from 8/21/2024 to 9/3/2024 in apartment No. 301, consisting of two rooms, a hall, two bathrooms, and two balconies. The place is clean and the apartment has a wonderful view. I recommend visiting it.

Lovely room, lovely breakfast, stunning location and Christian the owner was brilliant.
We used the Gasthof Schontal as a base for travelling to and from Kitzbuhel for a days skiing and the Hahnenkahm races. A half hour drive takes you to Kirchberg in Tyrol where there is free parking and a free shuttle train which takes you into Kitzbuhel itself. Perfect

Our second time visiting this wonderful hotel! The breakfast was outstanding and an absolute treat. We were half board and also loved the evening meals - all very fresh and healthy!
The beds were very comfortable and the pool was lovely! We will definitely be back!

Excellent service, great breakfast, very nice room and other facilities. Isabella at the front desk was exceptionally helpful. The property itself is very nice, the heated pool is a must to experience.
Nice clean hotel with great value for your money.
The rooms where clean. The bed was outstanding to sleep in. I don't like soft beds. Only the pillow was to soft and to small. But that's personal. Loved it.

We landed in Oberau by accident by putting the wrong address...
We landed in Oberau by accident by putting the wrong address in the GPS but it was a great mistake. We never would have found this place on our own and the collection of small villages in the mountains was just charming and very beautiful.

A beautiful small village in the Wildschonau with some restaurants and cafes, a Spar supermarket, a church, ski lifts and cable cars nearby. Centre for walks, tennis and an outdoor swimming pool and the very interesting z Bach farming and local life museum.
Although we booked the wrong Oberau (we intented to book Oberau Germany) we’ve had a lovely stay in Oberau Austria. Gästehaus Lackner is a fine place to stay. The room was quit big en you have your own bathroom and balcony. The breakfast was also fine and there are really nice and friendly hosts. Would definately stay here again if we go back to this region of Austria.
Beautifully located house in Oberau with a very friendly and helpful owner! The house is very nice and clean. plenty of space for the kids to play in the garden. You also get a touristcard that gives you free access to two cable cars, the pool just down the hill and much more. Would definitely come again.
