The property is in a great location in the centre of town with lots of hustle and bustle. There is a range of restaurants surrounding the hotel and a supermarket at the back. From what we could tell there wasn’t a lot to do around the town however the train station is just a 7 minute walk away. Salzburg is 45 minute train journey and Hallstatt an hour and a half the opposite way and so we used our hotel as the centre and visited different areas each day with our rail pass. 100% recommend
I had booked Gästehaus Auerhahn, but while checking in (for this you need to go to Hotel Auerhahn, because the Gästehaus has no reception) I've been given a room in the Hotel (and got breakfast for free). That was nice, but that's also all I can write here, as I see no point of reviewing the Hotel here, because this is the profile of the Gästehaus and no one would be looking here for the reviews of the Hotel :-)
I would 👍 to appreciate staff there, she was such a wonderful human being . I will remember her life time. Though facilities are not upto mark but hosting impressed us. We did late check-in and not had proper food , her gesture of getting us and helping us with food gave wonderful impression on the hotel. Thank you again
Biggest problem is there is no kitchen, on booking is like apartment and we did aspect kitchen. We didn’t read small print-our problem, but still this is hotel with strict rules about food- no in rooms.
They should alert clients for this.
Also i have send questions about parking but I didn’t receive nothing!!!
The hotel is in the center of the historic city center between the entrance towers. Parking is free and is at the back of the hotel. They accept pets and for our labrador Retriever, they did not charge maybe because it was Christmas time. Breakfast is good but not included in the price.
We had breakfast on the terrace of the Lieblings bakery, downstairs, which was great (around the same price as the hotel's buffet across the road). Highly recommended on a Saturday morning with chatter of the week market in the background.
Very good location in the city center, close to beautiful lakes. Unusual interesting interior design, lots of stairs and carpets. The hotel has a very nice restaurant.
Breakfast was in different hotel, however it was very close to the hotel where we stayed. Catering stuff in the restaurant was very good and food excellent.
