Position on lake is nice and city center was quite animated.
Took little train and that was a pleasant ride, with good comments (in German only).

Rustical location, solid Austrian countryside. Positively surprised that grocery stores were open on Sunday. Negatively surprised that I could not actually reach the lake - it was tightly surrounded by private properties. I would have expected maybe a walkway / bike trail around the lake.

Velden am Wörthersee is comparable to Monaco in my opinion. There are another type of Austrians and another lifestyle. There is a lot to see and a lot more to do and enjoy. Nice landscapes and nature spots all over the neighborhood.

Beautiful small city near the lake, on the other side of Klagenfurt. Nice bars, walking patches and the most amazing concert venue in the world - Bluesiana Rock Cafe Velden, with great live blues and rock music from all over the world, and the nicest owner ever.

This hotel is perfectly set up for an active Austrian holiday. The rooms are dark and quiet so you can sleep well. The breakfast is extensive and the coffee good. After your day hiking or cycling you can relax on a sun lounger in the orchard, go for a swim or enjoy the excellent sauna. The location is outside of Velden so you do need a car. We were also able to charge the car and our E-bikes. They also have plenty of staff so you never have to wait to order a drink and the room was cleaned every day.
Great apartment with a great view over Velden am Wörthersee. The apartment is very spacious, including the bathroom. Really everything you need is in the apartment. The owners are very friendly and. You also can use "your own part" of the garden where you can use the grill if you want.
The apartment is located on the hills above Velden, it's only a 20 minut walk to the city centre.
For a quiet, but great stay in Velden, in walking distance from the city centre, i would recommend this apartment.
My wife and I have really enjoyed our one-week stay in the apartment A3 of Villa "Augsdorf". We liked its rather unique combination of a charming atmosphere of an old villa from the Habsburg times with all the expected modern amenities. One of the major advantages of this two-villa ("Miralago" + "Augsdorf") complex is its direct private access to the lake from a well-equipped wooden platform, allowing to take a swim in the clean waters of Wörthersee at any time of the day and night.
Our 4th stop on a 10-day vacation in Austria.
From all stops, this is where we had the best sleep. Comfortable bed and the balcony at the second highest floor was great. Deers walking in the view gracing, fishes in the pond. Got a homey feel, and our pace came down a bit. A few places for bathing in the lake were included. This was appreciated as a lot of the lakeside is private. For us it won't be suited for a long stay but definately great for a few days to relax.
The breakfast had a rich choice of different foods. The room was quite big and very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The beach was not far from the hotel and it was not crowded. We also had a very good parking place for our car. The pizza and the fish in the restaurant were very tasty, we had dinners only there.
We loved everything about the hotel and location. Everyone working at the hotel was so friendly and even gave us an upgrade to the tower room with incredible views onto the lake and the town, we felt like on top of the world! The hotel itself the simply beautiful!
It takes around 10 minutes to walk from the hotel to the center, the lake, and the train station. It is very convenient and easy to move around. The room is spacious and clean. I like the balcony in my room. Breakfast is also great and the staff are very friendly.

The hotel is located in a quiet village part, near the church. It also has a small restaurant. The garden is very nice, for dinner and breakfast. The also had a nice garage for our e-bikes, and possibility to charge them in the garage.

This is a very nice and well located hotel; the staff is very friendly and helpful. The Sol Beach bar and Restaurant are great and provide excellent access to swim.
View from the room is excellent, Claudia and Mario are great hosts. Pool with heating and view on mountains. Hiking trail is starting 100 meters from the hotel.
