The place has an old, yet rich feel. Dark wood floors, a huge room with a bed, bath and a beautiful room view to the lake.
The breakfast was the best I've had in Austria, and the staff was very accommodating.
We've also had dinner to celebrate our anniversary, and the dinner was amazing! Beautiful presentation and taste.
The place has a beach bar and a private beach, although when we stayed the lake temp was a bit cold to swim.

St Wofgang is a small, beautiful town situated right on the lake. A good amount of restaurants and shops. The town had a music festival and dance performance outside while we were there. Seems like there are always things going on at the weekend in the spring/summer. We enjoyed a boat ride on the lake, visited Hallstadt and the saltmines there, and took the cog railroad up the mountain for amazing views of the whole area. We stayed for five nights and it was perfect.

It is traditionally oriented to the Austrian culture and has incredible nature of the Wolfgang See surroundings...

St. Wolfgang is lovely but not pedestrian-friendly. The town is chopped up by a highway tunnel. The road from the Garni Buchinger hotel into the town is narrow, mostly with no sidewalks and pitch dark at night. There's a lot of traffic on this road making it unsafe for pedestrians. For this reason we had no choice but to drive the short distance into town each night for dinner.

St. Wolfgang is at the bottom of Schafberg and obvius choice to stay. Village is small, very, very nice (absolutely comparable and probably even nicer than nearby and well known Hallstat). Lake view is visible from almost every house, there are a lot of hotels, really nice shops and a lot of restaurants.
Like elsewhere in Austria, note that shops close early and restaurants close at 22h (.there is a single hotel bar opened until 24h, at least that was correct at the moment of our stay).
I had problems finding gluten free products (local supermarket only) and coffee shops which serve lactose free milk (single coffee shop).
Absolutely recommend st. Wolfgang and will likely come again at some point. There is a lot to see and do here.

Nice historical village.
Nice historical village. Possibility of excursions around the lake, sailing on the lake, hiking in the surrounding mountains. Prices in restaurants are higher, as are prices in hotels. It seems to me that some of them exaggerate. (both hotels and restaurants)

the city itself is very picturesque. On the main street there is a pleasant atmosphere - cafes, shops, in general, a resort. Unlike other similar towns, there are many trekking routes, any kind of water sports on the lake, a bus connection to nearby sights and very-very beautiful everywhere.
Everything, literally everything. It's almost like family at this traditional Austrian hotel. Rooms maybe be small but very carefully and well equipped. Kids play area and private lake area complete the experience. Staff and owners were so so considerate it was exceptional. Marjorie, Alexandria and Hugo really put their heart in this property. This is the kind of of place that stays in your heart forever. One of the best stays I've had anywhere
The decoration was wonderful. You could feel the spirit of Austrian Gasthöfe. Both from outside and inside ( the whole building, the entrance, the rooms we stayed and the breakfast-restaurant) .
Also the kitchen in our room had every equipment we could’ve needed.
Additionally they were very quick in answering any message we wrote. The communication was perfect. They were very helpful whenever we asked something.
The hotel beach is breathtakingly beautiful. Especially love the mysterious design on second floor, very stunning. Dinner in hotel restaurant is amazing, best ingredients and perfect service. Non-smoking outdoor dining is definitely a plus, finally people can enjoy the absolutely fresh air while enjoying the lake breeze, without the annoying cigarette smell. Very pleasant experience.
We spent one night here with family and friends and I must say this Seehaus Familie Leifer is such a hidden gem in St. Wolfgang. The view is amazing; the staff is very friendly, and for a hotel that sits right by the lake the price is very reasonable. I also like the big living room where I can hang out with my friends at night. I will stay here agian.
We had a wonderful stay here. Teddy and all the team really took care of us. The breakfasts were like having a “feast” (as our 3 year old called it) every morning. The hotel was very clean, and the beds really comfortable. The cherry on top was the lakeside garden, lovely to relax in and for our little boy to play in. Would love to come back!
Very quite area. Apartment is very clean and equipped with all what you need. Frash air and nice view from the balcony. Free parking provided in front of the building. Pleasent owner, Ms. Inge, provided all details and information for easy access to accomodation. All recomendation if you visit this part of Austria.

Great breakfast (my wife has appreciated prosecco), perfectly equipped room with a kitchenette - modern, clean, with a big balcony and lake view. What else do you need? Just book it - you will not regret!

Price and quality were great. Our room had a gorgeous view of the Lake, the bed was cosy and every was really modern and clean. Breakfast was excellent and the restaurant next door was great.
Views of the lake are amazing. It is just a bit outside St Wolfgang, but it is only a 10-minute walk to reach out to everything in town. Definitely worth the price for the value you get.
